After hearing what an incredible minority predators are (just 10% of the population, and then consider that's lumping all predatory species together), and how easy the Savage Scare got blown out of proportion, I can't help but wonder in what other ways they might be disenfranchised.
Thinking a bit more on it, I wonder how long that 10% would actually last. Since Zootopia isn't a "Kevin and Kell"'ish world, and carnivorous species still have to eat, there must be some sort of protein substitute that they glossed over on. Carnivores aren't dependent on there being a x10 or x100 their population of prey to eat (assuming what they do eat is grown [soy] or manufactured [...]), and non-carnivores aren't dependent on high birthrates to replenish their numbers lost to carnivores (though we've seen that's NOT the case in bunny borough, *cough*)
Basically, there isn't a reason for the ratio to persist, since natural population pressures no longer exist.
That said, I am wondering about what natural fauna exists in Zootopia. I don't recall seeing a single bird (nonanthro, since they were really clear about it being only mammals that went civilized) flying around in the film, despite them being mentioned in the song, "Try Everything". The original teaser trailer said the only difference between our world and theirs was that "humans didn't happen", so there should be birds, reptiles, bugs, etc.

The film creators have said in interviews that predator animals eat bugs, fish, plant proteins, tofu, stuff like that, and I'm pretty sure I saw a fish market in Tundra Town at one point. But then, I have developed what is certainly an unhealthy obsession with this movie and looked deeper into it than most, lol.
During the movie, he gives an actually address on the application Judy gave him of 1955 Cypress Grove Lane so I assume he has a home (and it would make sense for him to if he's making 200 dollars a day unless he's in some kind of trouble which would not be a surprise). But they do make it seem, at least in that scene, that he is at least hanging out there.
One can assume as clever as he is he could always give a friends address where he could pick up his mail, or it may even be his mother's address for that matter. Though I worry that something may have happened to her if he's been pulling scams since he was 12. Then again, being wayward does not require the absence of a parent I suppose. I'd love to meet his mom.
I would too, like how they (his parents) totally did nothing over the cub scouts incident. If I scrapped up every penny just to send my boy to the Cub Scouts, and something like that happened to him, Hell would have been raised. He clearly didn't get any nurturing support after that incident.
Ever since I saw the movie the first time, something in me changed. I honestly feel horrible whenever I look at any furry porn now. I dunno how to explain it, I just don't feel right looking at furry porn anymore.
I feel like we should get away from our stereotypes. Make our Fandom more appealing to anyone whom might stumble a crossed it. After seeing the movie I wished that I could live in that world, but like most things before I had already soiled the innocence of Zootopia.
Sorry if what I say doesn't make sense, because i am still feeling a bit confused in my mind as well.

Well, this may just be in my mind but I did get the distinct impression that when the actual movie got released and people went to see it, a lot of the new artwork showing up suddenly went from being erotica to scenes showing friendship, caring and love. Clearly this movie touched feelings deeper than one can (usually) find in their pants.
Perhaps it was because of how beautifully this movie portrayed their relationship, the strength of the bunny versus the carefully hidden caring of the fox. Maybe the confusion you are feeling is because you're starting to understand our deepest darkest secret. That as people, there is one thing most of us crave and yet live life not knowing if we will ever truly find it. That deep emotional connection with someone for whom you truly care.
Or...
Maybe everyone was already all porn'd out by the time the movie played in theaters and it's just a coincidence. But I kind of like my first theory. Either way, don't worry about it, you'll figure it out in time.

I agree. Just shows a lack of respect for all of the work the creators put into these characters, backgrounds, art, etc. And the moment one furry artist draws porn of another furry artist's character, they're all up in arms about how their creative idea is being stolen. Double standards much? :D
This has actually kinda been my feeling on it. In particular Zootopia's characters feel much more genuinely someone's heartfelt creation, and not a fuzzy marketing gimmick (ie, some video game characters, etc). I would never draw another artists characters in a compromising position like that, so I guess I choose not to do Rule 34 for kinda the same reason?
It's not even so much that. There were already so many jokes and assumptions floating around Zootopia that furries would go batshit over it, and what do we do? We have porn as far back as the teaser, we have people going to theatres in fursuits and making NSFW comments about the characters around children, and then we have endless amounts of MORE porn when the movie turns out to be a pretty damn good watch.
It's like, this movie beat out Frozen in the box office opening weekend. It's so far into guaranteed sequel territory as far as profit and merchandising, and now the furries are dead set on making this movie be almost as un-Google-able for young children as MLP is.
It's like, can we calm it down, just a bit? I'm OKAY with canon character porn. I've seen enough pokemorphs and digimon and still love both, but when it comes to Zootopia, it's like an unnerving juggernaut of seeing how much porn can be made before it can even leave the theater.

You paid respect to the creators and artists when you bought your movie ticket. You further line their pockets by reviewing the movie, telling it to your friends, talk about how much you enjoy the film, and your individual appreciation.
Don't give me that horseshit that making yiff pictures somehow disrespects their work. Zootopia 2 The Search For Moar Money will be in theaters before you know it.

So I'm not allowed to draw any rule 34 at all/the level I'm drawing because of some "stereotypes"? I mean it's one thing to not be into it, but there was a petition that did try to ban all rule 34 of zootopia and it failed because it opened a can of worms to other groups. I don;t even push my stuff, but it feels like a witch-hunt somewhat
That's a straw man and you know it.
Never did I say anything about banning any art of Zootopia.
Freedom of expression does not mean freedom of consequence. You are well within your rights to express yourself in whatever way you see fit, but just like certain politicians have proven throughout the years, you are not free from being criticized for it, because that criticism is ALSO allowed to be freely expressed.
I said I've seen enough Zootopia porn to last me a good while. It'd be perfectly fine if I saw more later once the tidal wave has died down, but right now, my point still stands. I am burned out. My opinion of any additional Zootopia porn is going to be negatively influenced by sheer volume.
As for fulfilling a stereotype, you're doing a great job of that. Someone expresses an opinion you disagree with and suddenly you're here ready to adamantly defend not just one artist, but ALL the artists, because you think we want to make your porn go away.
Take my advice. Stop projecting. Calm down.

Um, I've been threatened by people here/Tumblr for drawing "Gay Wolves" related to Zootopia, so I think I do have a right to state my opinion when it gets to the point where some people want to sue me over something they don't like. You might not want to make it go away and you have every right to not look at it anymore, but there are people that do and have stated they would love to take it all down in order to preserve the film. I'll stop "projecting" when the threats go away, permanently
So now this is what we call a red herring. Whether you've been threatened with a suit for drawing content has very little bearing on this specific conversation.
I am not one of the people threatening to sue you or anyone for Zootopia porn.
I am not one of the people demeaning you for drawing gay wolves.
I am not one of the people saying I'd love for all Zootopia porn to go away.
You are projecting your frustrations with those specific people and groups one ME instead of confronting them directly, because perhaps you view me as an easier target to attack with an irrelevant point to try and defend said point. Or perhaps because it's because I present my points in a soft spoken manner that you think you can steamroll over me. It's shameful. Please deal with your issues to the proper people and not me because I am not your problem right now, they are.

I never claimed that you were the one that threaten me or any of that stuff, hence why i said "You might not want to make it go away and you have every right to not look at it anymore". Did you not read that part?
I just said that there are people out there that have and that they exist on this site/others (not gonna name names because it's against the rules). Please do not assume that I'm steamrolling you when I'm just stating a fact that has been going on for awhile. I have already tried to handled the situation, but, you know what happens when you deal with "higher" people, so please "calm down" and realize that I'm stating my opinion also

I'm saying that even bringing up your threats has no meaning to what we're talking about. Especially less meaning to me. Just because these threatening people exist do not relate to my point of "There's just a bit much Zootopia porn being put out at an astonishing rate; maybe we should dial it back and bit and try to spread it out."
What you're stating is not an opinion. You are telling me things about you that in this exact context are meaningless. That does not mean your threats are meaningless, because that is definitely a problem you should deal with on your own time, but they do not relate to the point of "I've seen so much Zootopia porn, it's all beginning to blend together and now I just find myself skipping past them and removing them from my inboxes even if they might be good." Telling me that you've been threatened with lawsuits when arguing these points has no effect because they do not relate.

That's fine that you skip over stuff, and I'm not going to disagree with spreading stuff out stuff since people have been spreading stuff out so far, but I don't think we both are ever going to find a place of agreement overall since we both are coming at it from two different angles. The only thing that came out of this was that you were at least able to hear me out (and I thank you for that), so a "agree to disagree" seems a good fit for this
Yah know... for someone with a busty jiggly-boobs icon, you're gettin' kinda hot and bothered x3
If I may jump in... and I guess this is somewhat unrelated... I watched the movie recently and afterwards I had this instinctive apprehension about running into Rule 34. I dunno why, because tonight when I finally did run a search for fan art, the more provocative work wasn't that... hm, I guess maybe I thought I'd make me feel bummed out? It was just there, like anything else here, and not even in high volumes.
Also, if I hadn't run the search, I wouldn't have found this ultra rad comic, or other categorical pieces. Some of the porn isn't even that raunchy. One person's work seemed more sentimental than anything.
This is a place where we all can view or share visual art that we all care about in one way or another. We shouldn't bark (ok yes, I did it) at each other needlessly, since that just brings everyone down.

On the internet, we're not allowed to state objective logic or processes of thought unless we are taking personal claim to those opinions. Didn't you know that? ;P Same goes for having opinions that are matter-of-fact and not rights-infringing. It's just not proper!
In all seriousness, I like your logic and the way you debate. Thumbs up to all of that. :3 "I stated a personal opinion that was simply that, so why am I having this discussion?" *rolls his eyes* As if you don't understand or can't understand his point of view, heh.

If I may interject, I don't see what's wrong with Zootopia porn, comics, pictures snuggling Nick or eating ice cream with Judy. The fact is this movie isn't the first furry movie and it certainly won't be the last. If folks feel they want to draw whatever it is they like then by all means let them.
Last I checked, no one furry has claim overy Zootopia being sacred or divine and therefore above being pornified. We're fucking furries. As such, these things happen and the last thing we need is Social Justice Furry Warriors hybrids making petitions and judging actions of other furries.
You people need to just appreciate whatever art you personally enjoy related to Zootopia and move along.

Any time!
And as
Ashkihyena notes, in the comment below yours, Judy's real surname is "Hopps". In fact, most of the residents of Zootopia's world-setting have animal-like elements to them such as "Clawhauser", "Wilde", or others.
So, yes: it is a bit back-and-forth with the stereotypes.
Then again, in our world, we have plenty of people with surnames of their old, family jobs such as "Miller", "Butcher", and "Baker", so I guess having an anthro world in which surnames have physical-trait or racial elements to them isn't that odd... :)

Wonderful job on his color palette. The exact placement of the colors may be a little off from spec but it's hard to tell with blended characters. And I think it's way more important to get the colors themselves right than to get the marking locations exact. :)
(Note: Nick's colors are extremely close to my personal character, and he's a blended character, so it's a total bitch to have him drawn right pretty much all the time. :P)

Judy rolls outta bed, drags her butt off the floor and answers the phone, and she's like:
"I want you to listen to me very carefully. I have a very particular set of skills, skills that might be nightmare to foxes like you..."
But I digress, this is an incredible looks comic, very well made.

For those reading, going to say minor spoilers, feel free to keep on scrolling.
The thing I loved about Zootopia was the relationship between Nick and Judy. It felt real, it felt genuine. That scene where she was apologizing and just thumped her head on his chest instead of all out bawling but the quite crying, headed off by Nick joking and asking if this was a trick for her to get the pen, and her reaching for it while cheering up... I felt that scene defined the movie and relationship so much.
I say that because when I see you writing this comic, I know how you do character interactions, and I can't wait to see how this comes out because I know you do that kind of genuine!
