I know that Redwall has made it to other media in addition to just the novels. I have the first two seasons, for example, of the Nelvana cartoon of Redwall on DVD. There have been some films and games, as well, but not anything, I daresay, that would be called main-stream or big-budget. I've always thought it a bit of a shame that Don Bluth never (as far as I know) made a full-length movie of Redwall at the peak of his career in the early 1990s. And that's sort of the inspiration for this piece: I'm certainly no James Horner, but I was going for music you might hear in the background of a Don Bluth film, in a scene where Constance and the Father Abbot are taking a walk in the courtyard, talking about the future of the Abbey and how to keep it safe from the coming storm.
