Transformed Struggles- Chapter 7
The Kyochouku were another race I had created and then next to nothing with. Mainly because they never really struck me as a species that really stood out in the forefront. Fully grown they only stand about 2'6" (Thener are 6' tall, 9' long with three 9' long tails for comparison between the two). Kyochouku are rather quick and extremely dexterous and are all born with an eidetic memory. Which makes them perfect for professions that don't require a lot of strength and requires a lot of knowledge and skill to perform. Of course the downside to the race is that they live very short lives. Even in this age they can only live to like 25-30. So like I said, a race I found interesting but not exactly one that would work well as a main character in one of my stories.
As for the second half of the chapter, I found that it would be something seen as so useful that just about any telepath worth their salt would just learn to do without thinking about it. Though naturally Richard's skill in it is better than most. And I thought it quite likely that there are three different levels of thought, the ones that would be picked up by anyone even remotely listening. The ones that just stay in your head and then the deepest recesses of the mind where thoughts are not dared given words.

(Sorry, that quote just popped into my head and I felt obligated to share it. )
I really like the Kyochouku. By the way, how do you pronounce that?
