“What did you just do?” I demand as I can feel the thing inside of me trying to push something out, causing me to drop the water bottle and clutch my chest instead.

“My little toy here is a prototype. It’ll turn anyone it is used on during the night of a full moon into a werepokemon. Or at the very least attempt to. All I need from you is a simple name. I’m not sure if it works for any pokemon name or just the one the thing inside you wants. So if you wanted to pick one you can try just naming anything you wanted. But once I’ve heard a pokemon name come from your mouth you’re free to go.”

“You’re really going to let me go?” I ask just before almost dry heaving from whatever is inside me trying to force something out of my mouth but I clamp my mouth shut right after. There is some instinct within me telling me that I must try and resist this force. That I somehow know that if I do allow it to do as she says and actually say the name of a pokemon then that’ll be it and it’ll have attached to my very being and could never be removed.

“I am. I don’t really have any need for pokemon myself. I just want to see what you’ll end up doing.”
