One of the things I find quite interesting is that not everything is fully set up yet. There is a stage with some band equipment and currently some people checking the sound settings and light quality.

“Any idea who’s playing tonight?” I ask.

“I don’t remember the name but it’s a heavy metal band,” Benny responds. “I remember seeing their photo. They have a Loudred as their lead singer so you know that they’re going to prioritize volume over any real catchy tune.”

“Well, all things considered,” Maria adds, “so long as it isn’t too much of a noise complaint I’d much rather them have a heavy metal or upbeat band in the middle of the night than a soothing one. Like I can manage all nighters because I’ve gotten used to it and adjust my sleep schedule a few days before and after. But can you imagine how bad it’d be for normal people to try and stay awake if they had a jiggly singing?”

“I don’t know,” Benny shrugs. “There was that one jiggly that sang the anthem right before the last team tournament and I thought they were pretty good.”

“That one was chosen because they were more of a pop star rather than gentle singing, and more there for the pokemon,” I speak up. “Pokemon can understand him but for people, it was just are the notes right.”
