TF drive Page 2: It’s my first day, I couldn’t know
This is, practically word-for-word and in its entirety, my interaction with her that day. This school was so obsessed with conserving paper, they wouldn't even allow me one photocopy despite having distributed such photocopies just three weeks prior (and having some left over right where I could see them and having just received literal reams of paper earlier that day!) To be fair, though, the school had run out of paper multiple times the previous year due to unexpected budget cuts. Learning this did not change my first impression of the Principal's Secretary, though.
To this day, I still wonder where she thinks new students come from.
I will say that "playing minesweeper while chewing bubblegum" is the PG-13 version of what she was doing (she was buying Amway - though I did see her "playing minesweeper while chewing bubblegum" on other days)

Can't say for other countries, in our schools and universities it seems to standard to have copy machines available and never any paper. But no introductory papers? You're just making both students and office staff miserable. Not to mention constantly dealing with students being late or missing important info - that's just lazy AND dumb
