When it becomes obvious that they are heading only towards us as there isn’t anyone else nearby to warrant such a reaction this obviously puts us a bit on guard. Benny even goes so far as to raise up his arms in a defensive manner. There shouldn’t be any trouble but it’s better safe than sorry. And as I am a bit of an anomaly, it’s not like the normal laws apply to me. But as I get a good glimpse at the pokemon running a bit behind them I finally recognize who they were. A few months ago Maria and I had intervened on behalf of a couple of trainers to stop Team Rocket from taking all of their pokemon. And initially I hadn’t really thought to look too closely at them; far more concerned with the threat in front of me. But I imagine they would have remembered us far more than we would have remembered them. And seeing that, and coming to a conclusion that there’s no reason why they should be a danger to us I relax a bit and use some of my tails to push Benny’s arms down as well.
