But part of this was a bit more challenging than what they were doing and since I was really pushing myself anyway I decided to make it a bit of a game to take advantage of. Instead of trying to get back onto the path and then just jumping onto another object to help turn I started jumping from object to object, seeing how long I could without having to touch the ground. Instead, as soon as I was landing I immediately started looking not just on where to jump next but where to jump after that, trying to skirt as close to the path as I can without being on the path itself. And I noticed that because I could take the turns at full speed I was slowly starting to pull a bit ahead that I probably could have gone on the path, but I was having fun enough. And I could also take comfort in the notion that the normal people wouldn’t really be able to tell where I am anyway. I even go so far as to try and minimize the time when I’m not in the middle of a dash, meaning any onlookers wouldn’t see anything more than a blur running past them. They are cheering well enough, but actually enjoying the racers was the point of the first run. I half wonder if there are bird pokemon or cameras that are able to follow along well enough.
