I hear the sound of someone approaching from the side, and given the location I quickly get on guard, my ears swiveling all around just in case there is anything else coming. I wouldn’t think we’re close enough for them to have spotted us yet, but that doesn’t mean that they wouldn’t potentially have guards around and the last thing I want is for them to sound the alarm. There seems to be just a solitary Lucario heading directly to us and looking up I do see a bird pokemon that could be spying on our location. But when they get to about two quick attack lengths away they raise their hands up into the air. After another moment I’m able to actually make out distinctive features and recognize them as Lumen.

“What are you doing here?” I demand once they’re close enough for me to speak without having to shout. If anything they’re the last person I’d want to see as I may have to get through him before I can even get to the Rocket people. And if he runs away he might bring more enforcement officers to stop us.

“We were waiting for you to strike at them. Considering how often you are a deterrent to Rocket, we figure it would only be a matter of time before you would launch an attack against them. If you didn’t we’d probably go and track you down anyway in a month or two to ask for your assistance. I’m here to let you know that we’re going to be going in with you,” he says.

“We?”
