"What I wouldn't give for a tram to actually come by and pick me up..."
I think to myself as I look up and down both ways of the railway carefully in the pouring rain. The sheets of it falling make it hard to see anything more than a good stone's throw away. Nothing, again. I quickly hop over the rails and continue on, landing on my belly and getting a small slide going in the waterlogged path. I had been on this path for awhile now after the Muchomon had set me on my way earlier today.
"It should be just a hour or so away" they said, a few hours ago. Guess that's more their time frame though as crawling ain't exactly the fastest form of locomotion and having to stop at every crossing along the way to ensure no locomotive is coming certainly ain't helping.
Every single one I've been to had it's signals and signs going and yet nothing would come along no matter how long I waited and I only started to catch on when I noticed that some were missing their rails. Guess I should have also taken the hint that nothing would even be on the rails if they could with all the rusted out busses and trams lying about.
Rather be safe than sorry right now though, I've come too far to become sashimi because I decided not to check before crossing. Between taking long and meandering paths around the rusting frames to avoid scraping my scales off on them and heeding numerous warnings of soon-to-never-arrive trains the day was quickly slipping away and I was going to have to quicken my pace if I was to make it to New File City before nightfall.
I continue my belly slide down the small hill along the path, splashing through a few forming puddles like they were nothing. At least I can make something outta all this rain, who knows, it might even be a blessing in disguise since i'm pretty sure Coelamon like me don't do well in the sun for long... do we?
Hoo, this one had to fight for attention all month. Whether it be from the weather constantly rolling in, other drawing ideas taking hold, or just general things it always seemed to get the backburner treatment. But ey, at least it let me decide what to try here and with inspiration from the constant storms we've been having, that was inclement weather! It's only been about... hang on, *checks gallery* almost a day to a year since I drew a storm! Felt like I got that rainy day gloom here, faint yellow to everything and everything faded from the cloud cover all the while.
Coelamon, Growlmon, Tukaimon, Digimon world 1 and Decode belong to Bandai and Toei Animation. Lu the crossing conscious Coelamon is mine.
