Once again, Look at that finish work. I couldn't get over that the whole time I was working on this guitar. Right down to there being no crud under the truss rod cover. I told this guy that he should really thing about putting a graphite or bone nut in this thing to replace that plastic one.

Haha I know ya didn't dude. Haha. still, yeah that's insane to go that deep.
I remember a friend of mine picked up a Washburn Idol cuz he asked me what to get and I said "Washburn, duh!". He brought this thing to me to set it up for him and I dunno where he found it, but I wanted to find the original owner and beat them with the guitar! They had stripped all the hardware, sanded it down, then spraypainted it black before putting on a double coat of clear acryllic stuff...even the bridge! The bridge was one of those fender-esque bridges, like this Ibanez has. They had painted and coated those too. Oh and they put em back but...the beds were straight. They probably did not know the word "intonation" exists! I had to shim the hell out of the neck to get it to sit right. Had a short in the input jack, too. Now..I'm an amatuer. All I know is what I've learned from being in bands with dudes that setup their own stuff and applying it on my guitars...but...dammit!
That was a fun 2 days.

One of my first payed repair jobs was like that. I nicknamed the guitar the "swamp monster" because the guy had spray painted it green, brown and blue with this awful rattle can enamel. it was an old shitty squire and of course all the hardware had been painted too. For some reason people are ok painting things but get uncomfortable at the thought of removing parts. Even in old houses you often see paint all over the light switches and outlets which could have been taken out of hars way by the loosening of 1 or 2 screws. I honestly find it irritating to look at.
