Where does the time go...? Also, updates.
It's officially been 15 years since I created my FA account. I don't recall giving time permission to pass by so fast, but time is like your virginity. Once it's gone, there's no getting it back.
In unrelated news, the pandemic FINALLY seems to be hitting a lull, so I'm starting to write again for the first time in a long time. Working in a hospital, the stress and burnout has been real and unbelievable, especially as time goes on and we lose more and more of our staff. Now that I don't have massive anxiety attacks just at the prospect of going into work and my poor, traumatized brain can start to heal, the creative juices can begin to flow again.
In other, also completely unrelated news, my body has healed quite a bit as well. It's been over 2 years since I've had a kidney stone, and most of my few trips to the ER since 2018 have been due to accidental injuries. Compare that to 5 or so years ago when I was in the hospital once a month or more and was sick, exhausted, and in severe pain every single day. As such, I'm finally returning to college for the first time since Spring of 2017. My education is recommencing and my life is finally moving forward again.
I'm going to do the best I can to write as much as I'm able to until classes start in the end of January. After that, it's impossible for me to say when or if I'll get the chance to write before Summer break.
My course load for the remainder of my time getting my bachelor's degree is going to be heavy. I've gotten all of the easy elective courses I need already, so everything I'm taking from now on is hardcore STEM material. Just next semester, I'm taking Organic Chemistry, Physics, Physiology, and Developmental Biology.
Like I said, I'll write what I can, but anticipate the writing coming to a screeching halt while classes are in session.
That's all, dragon out!
