Wanted: IT/Computer Builders Help Needed! (Gaming rig)
Hoping someone on here can help before I toss my computer out the window-
It's my first time building a gaming rig on my own, and I'm already regretting it. I'm currently on day two of my "adventure" with it. Yeah, two days, I know...I even asked on Reddit, and only one person responded with, "Is your cpu cable in?" Nothing else.
Sigh. So I'm hoping someone on here can help!
The good news is, I now have the fans going and lights on in the case. The bad news is, the pc won't boot up. The mobo's DRAM white light is on.
Currently I've tried: updating/flashing the bios, checking each ram stick, and checked all the cables and connections: nothing.
Build: Ryzen 5600X, MSI B550 Gaming Plus, GSkill Ripjaws 3200: 2x8GB
Any help would be appreciated. I'm this close to just taking it to a computer shop and let them fix it for me. Needless to say, I won't be building anymore pcs on my own after this fiasco.
*Update: I gave up and sent it to a computer shop as I was not making any progress.
I will write an update journal when they give me a status update.

There's a good chance the CPU and mobo are not compatible, or not without a BIOS update (and you need a supported CPU first for the particular BIOS version).
I gave up and sent it to a professional 😑
It's my own fault for trying to build a pc on my own. I will write an update journal when they give me a status update
I just never liked macbooks
I gave up and took it to a computer shop. I was getting frustrated and not making any progress. But I appreciate everyone trying!
Will post an update journal when they call me with its status
Frankly providing support over text can be somewhat troublesome without a visual guidance, but I hope everything goes well and I'll be waiting for the journal! :3
So far there is an error message for CPU/RAM and it's not RAM =\
Whisper is going for a professional's help at this point, meddling with CPU isn't the brightest idea.
Also could be some troubles from PSU, but it's hard to check over distance (or I have no idea how to).
Prayers for Whisper's brand new gaming pc •o•
Wasting time on hardware issues on a rare free day isn't something I'd wish upon an enemy, much less for a friend.
Thanks to everyone who offered their help. I believe Wisperclaw will update us as soon as she is back.
But I know the struggle when i built mine took me like 3-4 days each time giving up but thinking on it and returning and she lived as still kicking to this day....Although she never goes fully into "sleep" cycle she boots and kicks back on so there's something wrong in there, but till she blows I'm not gonna expedite it by trying to fix it though.
I'd say if you've tried reseating your RAM and ensured that it's compatible with your mobo, you could have a bad stick or your mobo is not good.
Unfortunately with the world continuing its Hunter Thompson level bender, I've noticed a lot of hardware defects making it past quality control; while I would normally be reticent to blame hardware, I've seen too much of it in recent months to really count it out. :(
Well if you read the following journal, we, or rather, the computer guy, resolved it- thank goodness it wasn't a major issue or worse. Long story short: RAM not pushed in properly, cables not pushed all the way, and misplaced wires- the latter thankfully didn't fry my board.
My computer is back home and running VERY smoothly now. It's like a whole new computer!
My number is still the same, so if you need a hand or just want to chat, feel free to reach out! I'm just not on FA super often; job promotion and a growing fleet of cars has kept me busy. :D
