It's December 31! End of the year/beginning of a new one. I had planned to go to the New Years Furry Ball, which is tonight, but by the time I was ready to commit to a hotel, they were sold out. One bad thing about winter cons is the possibility of snow and ice threatening travel, so I wanted to be relatively sure that the weather was going to cooperate before making solid plans for NYFB. So anyway, I'll be spending New Years Eve at home this year, which actually worked out for me as I started feeling bad last evening and am not well this weekend.

Important- I saw an announcement here on FA that they will be closing the forums tonight at midnight. Closing the forums.

I'm not sure what a "forum" is, but if it means shutting down the entire FA site, I will be sorry to see it go. I like FA. I've been here for a long time, know how it works, and enjoy surfing the art galleries. They said something else will come in its place, like Discord I believe it was, but I'm not familiar with that, and don't know if art will be postable/surfable anymore, etc. The new one might not even be an art site, which would be a drag. I hate "figuring new things out" (have been having an awful time at work the last 8 months struggling with major software/policy changes). NOT a fan of change.
So if my interpretation of "closing the forums" is correct, I guess this will be my last journal entry here. If my interpretation is not correct, please someone let me know.
