I apologize in advance, I may not be replying to comments, but I thought I'd at least bring light to the situation and how it may affect my gallery.
Also sorry if this journal feels random, weird, unfocused, i'm just not good at wording things sometimes.

Hopefully... it shouldn't really affect me all that much aside from a few pieces of art that might be taken as 'child sized'. Namely thats feral mons that I've drawn + a few odd sticklers. That being said, I've opened a ticket linking a few pieces of art just for curiosity sake and ofc maybe some proper answers.
To be fair I've never really thought about it that deeply. I just draw different sizes cos i like the variety that fantasy can bring. Like Imps!

I understand the need to crack down on underage art being posted, its icky and nasty.
But the ruling is so vague that its leaving other users uncertain and worried and angry about how it could affect them unfairly.

I'm fine deleting a few art pieces but if the rules are way to strict, will it just be a waste of time using FA?
I was gonna post some feral kirby OC things cos I thought FA would always be a better place for it than twitter. Guess thats not gonna happen now lmao.

For what it's worth, there's been a ton of conflicting information regarding the tickets. Some people were told things in their tickets, only for the mods in the Discord and etc to say that those things were actually incorrect. Because of how vague and poorly-considered the rule is, nobody really knows what is and isn't true, even the mods themselves.

If you do get a response to your tickets, I'd say keep them in mind, but don't treat 'em as gospel just yet. Supposedly things are supposed to be better-explained in a couple days.

that vagueness is deff worrying for shorter, and/or tomboy characters. they say they are not going to go after short characters, but with how contradictory they have been idk for sure. i have a few characters i am worried about for sure (one in particular is a short tomboy character), i just hope this blows over without too much crazy of stuff to happen...

not to mention that with fiction comes time travel, immortals, not aging creatures and stuff like that so it can add to how hard it is to tell. And i don't mean the 1000 year old lolies, i mean like robots, people put in cryogenic pods, and things like that. i mean there are some times even irl that it is near impossible to tell someone's age just by looking at them. i mean the perfect example is r/13or30 there are so many images of people looking older/younger than they actually are. i can deff understand not wanting underage stuff, but the rules being as vague and contradictory at times as they are, it is also going to hit artists that may have a more chibi style as well

My point is basically just to not go jumping to conclusions yet, even if you do get a reply to any tickets. I saw a few people yesterday already preparing to blank their galleries and move out based on a few tickets, only to later find out that those tickets were wrong/incorrect/inaccurate/etc etc etc. So the safest thing to do right now is, unfortunately, to wait.

this is a big concern I know a lot of people have been having. The new rules are far too vague and can be arbitrarily enforced. As bad as it sounds, i kinda hope people start leaving FA and moving to other furry art sites like SoFurry. The main reason I, and I am sure a lot of other people, use FA is because it is the biggest place to get your art out there within the community.

You know this isn't the first time I've seen people leave for SF. The first time was when FA banned cub porn (rightly so!). SF still allowed it at the time (don't know now, didn't get on with the site).

I wouldn't fear. This is literally just teething issues with wording, it'll get cleared up sooner or later :)

I thought sofurry had it banned but could be wrong. Inkbunny is where most the cub artists went which is why i didn't mention it, mostly cause that is most of what is on inkbunny last i know. I actually personally don't like FA but use it out of necessity.

Friend of mine talked a bit about it with me and it seems like it's mostly aiming at art that is explicitly depicting children, so art with stuff like shortstacks, imps, and kobolds should be fine. It remains to be seen how it's enforced but I think you'll be okay.

FA is trying to take some performative "moral" high road with this. I wouldn't be surprised if people who were openly upset or concerned by this got attacked and be accused of defending or encouraging cp. Any time FA does something like this I'm immediately suspicious of their admin staff.
