It is heartbreaking to see you go, you were one of the folks who inspired me to start drawing pokemon n kirby stuff. Nonetheless im proud of you for taking this step towards betterment. In the event that you don't return, I'd just like to thank you for what has been around a decade of art and OCs. Still remember first finding your work on deviantart way back in around 2015 and how it really encouraged me to start drawing anthros, and it was one of the first dominoes that got me to where I am today in terms of art and character direction. So thank you for inspiring me along the way.

While it's never a bad thing to want to be a better person, I believe you're being too hard on yourself. Your mistakes are just that... mistakes. Anyone and everyone makes mistakes, as nobody is perfect. It's not like you made your decisions with any malicious intent right? You simply acted in a way you thought was normal without taking every factor around you into account. You are NOT some irredeemable monster, or even a terrible person for that matter, you're just someone who made some bad calls while trying to live their life, same as everyone else. Please don't guilt trip yourself into believing that those mistakes are what define you or that they invalidate all of the good you've done for so many, OR the good that you can still do going forward. By all means take a break to sort things out, but please don't punish yourself and the people who still support you by giving up something you love. The world would be an objectively worse place to live in without your beautiful art, and would just lead to more broken hearts, including your own. Permanently cutting yourself off from people who wish to support you because you you're afraid of hurting them will not help. In fact, from what I could gather, that's basically how some of these issues started in the first place right? Because you inadvertently made the people around you feel unloved because you isolated yourself for too long? Two wrongs don't make a right, so if your goal is to become someone who's less likely to hurt people, the first step is to be careful not to repeat your mistakes by trying to solve them using the same strategy that caused them. Trying to walk this path of self-improvement all alone will just make it more difficult for yourself than it needs to be. Never forget that there are people who still have your back, in spite of your missteps along the way.

TLDR: Take your much-needed hiatus, but for everyone's sake including your own, please come back to us once you're feeling better so that going forward we can provide whatever support we can.

this sucks, i can't even really tell how much of these feelings are legitimate to feel bad about with how much you've shown to care about people, and i don't think all of their feelings lie on you

I don't know if you can see this, but if you can, please don't lock away your wonderful art from the rest of the world. These characters and the stories that came from them that I've known for almost ten years mean the world to me, and it would break my heart if they all just vanished forever. Waking up and seeing the news that my favorite artist in the Pokemorph community is leaving was already heartbreaking, but knowing that potentially dozens of finished works, doodles, and character descriptions that haven't been archived elsewhere are all going to vanish just hurts my soul.

I second this. Take your time and just leave things here.

You can imagine why the moment LarAnthrod mentioned it, I went into full on panic mode and download as much stuff from this person's work as possible, so this way it's not forgotten.

So yeah, I already now have a good chunk of her work archived, but yeah, much like many other artists who have been on dA and Furaffinity before which they have closed their accounts, seeing this person go would be 13 years of history completely gone.

Please, take care Lar. You will be missed. Your journey will be long and hard, but I know you can do it.
