I’ve been using a neck fan which bends over the top of my headboard so it’s hitting me in the face all night, other one is fill hot water bottle with cold water and place your feet on it, also go to a b&m and look in the pet isle they got loads of cooling stuff, best one is the cooling blanket they got there

I can imagine the UK never thought they'd ever need widespread residential AC since it rains 24/7/365.25 over there.

Also, don't overdrink water - water toxicity is a thing.

Air conditioning may not be the best option for you due to the effects it has on spreading microbes, dust among other things, though it is an everyday relief for some. Your best bet is to ventilate your house as much as possible with opening windows (plus insect screens) and to turn off unnecessary electrical devices. A ceiling fan or standing fan would be your best friend for the heat. And of course drinking water is important.

You also need electrolytes along with water, because you lose salt with your sweat.

Best way to do it is pedialyte, suero, or the drink literally called electrolit.

We use ceiling fans, but we also have window unit air conditioners in the living room and bedroom. Usually we only need them for a few hours in the evening, then set them on the fan function.

Are window AC units available in England? Could you order one through Amazon? They really are a godsend because they extract the humidity from the room, more than just cool the air. It makes it far easier to breathe.

Yep the UK heat is here and it's gonna be a rough one again. If you want a cheap method for when the absolute worst gets here. Have a look into some Portable Black Out Blinds, they fabric that's one side Black and One side reflective Silver, which should bounce all the UV light and heat out of your room, and you can cut out sheets to fit your windows sizes and stick them with Velcro. Room will be pitch black outside your light switches, but you won't be melting in the sun come July.

Air Condition is something we sure lack here suffering from heat stroke too - 31 degrees here yesterday which is kind of krazy - on liquids.

Yeah, as a fellow brit, I'm really not looking forward to this summer considering it's predicted to be the hottest on record.
We got 40C here last year and it literally set our town on fire in numerous places lol.
