Retro Gamers: Lend me your ears (PS2 Questions)

I'm looking for good ways to update the video quality of my PS2 Slim so it's not so painful on the eyes while playing. not keen on internal mods, though.
So i guess i'm asking what are some good cables/adapters to get to really improve the video while playing.

Do not buy cheap adapter, they suck. OSSC, Framemeister or Retrotink is strongly recommended adapter for retro gaming.
If you got money for a retrotink, that tends to work.
