is there a way to toggle the banner? it makes it damn near impossible to read whatever notification is shown. and for some reason despite numerous blocking it with adblock and uBlock doesn't work.

The site-wide notifications at the top should also show up as a Fender Journal Entry in your Journal notifications. I personally don't like that the top bar notification persists without manually clicking the 'X' even if you click the link.
