A month ago, I had to let my cat go. But he was so much more than a cat or a pet to me, he was my brother. I grew up with him, he was always there for me, he helped me through the worst moments of my life. This month, we had to let my sister's 18 year old boy go too. He became depressed after my cat had passed, and was not taking care of himself which aggravated some health issues he had hidden from us, we took him to the vet and they did some tests and found he had Kidney and Heart Disease, and with his age and some other factors the prognosis was not good, so we had to let him cross the bridge, and be with Kiyu again.
In 2017, I lost my mother, and two very close, very good friends of mine. In 2023, I lost my cat who was so much more than a cat to me, and then in the very next month we lost my sister's cat who was just as much a family member and so much more than a cat to us.
It is a time of grieving and sorrow, saying farewells you never wished to say.
