2024 Begins + Some small updates.

Yayyy 2024! Are ya ready?! Cos I'm not!!! :'D
🔸Despite 2023 being a pretty good year for me art and life wise... I just feel like 2024 is gonna throw some nasty punches.
It already has for some. Japan immediately getting hit with an earthquake day 1 and a plane collision day 2.What the fuck!!!
Not to mention the shit going on with Israel n Palestine, Ukraine and Russia...
I don't wanna get political but essentially- murder is bad, genocide is bad.
I'm honestly just wondering which 2 countries are gonna fight next.
🔸High winds in the UK too, some heavy rain but not nearly as bad as what other countries are dealing with.
🔸I'm not feeling the best either. I have this horrible feeling in my throat thats been bothering me for... ages. for most of December it feels like and still right now. No clue what is going on. Probably just the usual winter cold but I maaaay have to see a Doc about it.
Right thats all the negative shit outta the way, lets look at some POSITIVES!
LAPTOP UPDATE-
🔸Still using my TV as a screen, but everything has still be working fine that way.
I noticed if i open my laptop screen reeeeally slowly and carefully... its usually okay and theres not screen issues. Not 100% of the time but still good enough.
Biggest issue I'm having is I'm making 10x more typos than usual, and its getting irritating...
I'll be aiming to send it in for a repair sometime this month, buuut i might tough it out and wait a lil longer. Not worried about it at least. I'll use that time away to just game a bunch.

🔸Working on a few more Winter themed adopts like last year, they'll come... February I'm guessing. Maybe January if I finish em soon.
🔸Gonna try and do some comic stuff. Small ones, some with color, some just doodles/ grayscale.
🔸I'm still barely working on refsheets for my characters lmao, aside from Kirby... Kirby been going hard.
I know who my first ref of the year shall be though... an evil empress (:<
🔸 I skipped a loooooot of bdays last year, theres just way too many to do now... Even skipped some of my closest friends! This year ima try to keep things simple... that doesn't mean I'm saying 'I'll draw for everyone's bday!!!', no, thats insane, as much as I wish I could...
Aaand... thats about it honestly. No other big art plans. Just... keep chugging along.
Maaaybe open commissions... not because I want to... but because -need money for future safety... security? I dunno what word im looking for lmao-
For the love of god let 2024 be alright in the end.
Take it easy folks... be safe.
And draw more big asses.

As for your art stuff. Safety and Security and both fitting words. Given people would call such economical or financial safety/securty, the latter word more so. Which there is nothing wrong with that.
Don't mind if you skip my birthday we only recently started talking anyway. Though speaking of waiting for your replies dear but not trying to push either.
Just keep on moving forward at your pace. As I do agree with the above your art is as good as always if not better even with the current situation~.

I hope stuff goes well for you with your health, and as someone also on Brittania this week, ditto on the weather. Can’t even walk around outside without getting rained on. At least I actually like wind and rain XD
And oof of the PC. Hopefully if you open comms, you’ll have some extra cash to cover that repair/replacement, eh? ;> (Believe me, you have no idea the amount of money I can shovel right now.)

I second Shadow here on the laptop stuff, sounds like it'd be a 'simple' fix if it wasn't for it being a laptop. I forget if I asked, you looked into getting a desktop at any point?
Anything art related gets a thumbs up from me lol, bonus points if it's something I can interact with like the adopts.
I do miss the comics, those would be cool to have back!
