Let me tell you about the greatest month
In television history
Stargate SG1's 7th season. Towards teh end.
Heros Part one and part two.Man, that is how you do a cerebral scifi show. I wont spoil it but man. Near peak story telling there. Premiring Febuarary 13 and 19th 2004. Perfection and althought the red herring in the teasers was a little off putting. Its only because the gut punch of an ending
Then you had Episode 19 of that season. Reserection. Although not the highlight of the season, id even say it was the low point of the season. But the low point of Stargate SG-1's GREATEST SEASON
Oh? Then you have the 3 parter ending.
Starting with Inauguration. A slow burn to start The last two episodes of the season. Episodes called "The last City" Part 1 and part two.
If you say "The battle of Antartica was boring. YOURE DEAD TO ME! DEAD I Tell you DEAD
Okay. Just figure I'd put up a cheery journal to try and was away the stain of my featured journal

The "slow burn" was certainly an element that was unique to Stargate and made it really quite special in the world of scifi. You were effectively getting to watch the birth of an interstellar power in semi-real time. The first "proper" battle for the Prometheus and F-302 is all the more special because we watched both of them from non-existance, through development, and into operation.
