It certainly is! So grateful for the time/use I got out of my old hardware~ I take care of and keep up my hardware as long as I can but unfortunately sometimes new hardware is needed which can be expensive! Very glad to have some time to save up and do more research on what's currently available~

I'm guessing you build your own PC?
If so, that's the nice thing about building one, you can just replace one part of it rather than the whole system.

With assistance from my partner yes! I like being able to use hardware as long as I can and like you say can change out singular parts instead of the whole kit and caboodle! I had budgeted for specific parts upgrades this year but unfortunately not for the surprise at the end when we assembled everything again ; u ; very grateful for the temporary fix so I have more time to save up and do some more research!

Congratulations! Hopefully it soldiers on until you can get a replacement. I can relate. I used my Samsung Galaxy S4 for 9 years, until they changed things so it was no longer going to be network compatible. The old bugger can still use FA through WiFi at a friend's place, though, and is over a decade old now. XD I might be one of the last people in the US still using one in any capacity. For a "prior model year" phone (the S5 had recently launched) I got during a 1¢ / 2 year contract Black Friday sale in 2013, I cannot fault it one little bit. I wonder how long my refurbished S10e (made when they switched to the S20 for 2020) I got in late 2022 will go...

I feel the same! I prefer to use working hardware as long as I can as well and feel quite sad when having to move on~ I do keep my old tech though! Mainly for possible parts or backups but full honesty also for sentimental reasons. ; u ; I love being able to use my old tech or consoles whenever possible and keep them running for fun! I also love folks finding and refurbishing old tech or customizing the exterior and giving it new life, just brings me so much joy to see!
