So, inspired by the recent return of  spottystuff on FA and his purge of the people he watched onto his new account I figured I should sift through my own.

I did not expect to be dropping over 2/3 of the people I had previously watched. Finding out 1500 people I was following disappeared or changed so significantly that I don't understand why I ever started watching them.

Finding out people I cared for didn't just disappear but pass was rough, not knowing why people I love(d) seem to have up and disappeared even rougher. But hey time goes on, people grow up or out of the fandom or get converted out of their being a fur I guess.

But it did make me realise, I am so inactive on here, I am a lurker, a watcher from the shadows and as I've been reminded, a grey muzzle by the definition of the ancients before us. I saw accounts of people who entered the fandom the same time as me, dusty and unused, old accounts of people who'd changed accounts over 5 times before they settled on their identity on here to then disappear. I saw artists who built up FA and the fandom over the last 15 years, in the times I was a young and active fur, full of life and full of hormones. Most now gone or transitioned into far better life prospects than drawing furry creatures.

I'm left with 740 out of 2287 people I followed before. Most are active accounts, some are nostalgia and longing to see old friends once again. Maybe one day I'll be someone who disappeared, until then. I'll try to be memorable enough to be seen :3

TLDR:

If you stay long enough, you'll spend over 2 days dusting out the corpses from your watchlist.
