There are always hackers. There are always furry haters. That doesn't mean that FA either can or would die from that.

Nothing wrong with having alternate sites or contacts, though.

If FA goes down its been a good run. Don't really care about going anywhere else. If it goes down I won't really bother posting anywhere else. Theres nowhere with a large user base. Most people just flee to twitter cause its a place that gives the most dopamine and only popular artists can grow there. And unless you have multiple thousands of people on twitter your art rarely if ever gets 1-5% of your actual follow count because twitter is just a slideshow and only the popular people with tons of followers will get seen. Lucky if even 1000 followers will give you 20 likes and 5 rts.

As tedious as it is to manage all of them, it's good to have presence on multiple social sites. So if anything bad happens on one site, people can raise awareness on the rest.

Like my god it is NOT a good art site and idk why they can't spend 5 fucking minutes uploading shit when they make something, especially with stuff like postybirb and FABUI to help streamline stuff

I mean hacks happen. That's been a regular thing across all the internet for the last 10-15 years. If big corporations can get hacked so can little sites. Especially with how freely available a lot of script kiddie software is. That said it's not like it means FA is going to die anytime soon. Especially considering the MASSIVE influx of new members and support 'Neers death and this unfortunate event has brought in.

Alt accounts are always a good idea. That doesn't mean we need to be doom and gloom about every little issue.

Personally, I think the type of hack on FA was not an actual hack that could affect it long term and it was obvious it wouldn't be down long term.

You should see what the medical industry is dealing with, this is like an fly landing on you on a nice summer day as far as consequences of disruption. Although other accounts are okay, nothing is truly safe on the internet if idiots target you.

I think at this point, FA has support to stay long term, and because it is a legal asset it is protected by law enforcement in events of a legit breach.
