It seems like every formerly-sfw-heavy artist is suddenly shifting to doing nsfw. Sometimes exclusively.
Don't know if it's an autism thing in me or what but it's making it really hard to comfortably browse anywhere even though I do so alone.
It's especially shitty because even though FA has literally added more blocking and rating options to accommodate stuff like this, people still mark everything badly and so using the in-built filters doesn't work.

I know saying this doesn't add anything to the conversation, I just felt I needed to say something. I know I'm not alone because I've talked to several others who have noticed the same thing.

WELL

1. I've never had a thing against NSFW and for a very long time, I actually did it myself, and I made it very clear when something was meant to be NSFW based on the content and how I rated it.
I only stopped doing NSFW because people were saying the existence of me doing NSFW meant that nothing I made could be SFW regardless of any lack thereof... yeah...

2. I was surprised to see that admin Luffy actually complained about people "over rating" their artwork that was technically SFW,
the OP was rating SFW content as Mature or Adult to keep minors from viewing the post.
Mind you. This used to be a suspendable offense. lol

I'm just kinda testing the waters with my audience,
because I actually get a lot of people asking for this and that,
and 99% of the time, the thing they think is NSFW is actually just regular cartoony vore or something.

I just want to make things people like. And it's very hard to please the ones I care about. XP

Oh yeah, I'm not against *others* doing nsfw stuff so long as they rate and tag appropriately! It's just something I tend to try and avoid looking at, and if people wouldn't mark non-nsfw things as 'adult 18+' when they don't need to be I wouldn't have to have the filter off.
Meanwhile people post genuine grody porn under 'mature' when it *needs* a higher/harsher rating, and...

I'm still not even sure I support tagging "kink" things (as others define them) as "mature" because it implies that I find them to be "mature content" too by default and I don't. Then again, just acknowledging the term "kink" is enough to catch shit.

I don't use twitter anymore, so I can't really use the poll. But I can say I'd be totally fine with both sfw and nsfw. Seeing either would be perfectly great, as long as you can find enjoyment in doing both.

It's entirely up to you, You draw what you want, things you don't like you tell the person you don't draw it and that's all there is to it.
Not uploading this stuff on your own channel is one thing, You could upload some examples in the scraps? or make a new account?

i'd love it! but i'd say, warm yourself up to it slowly, and find your balance. even if it's 80sfw/20nsfw, stick with it

Personally I used to really enjoy NSFW stuff, however certain things have occurred in my life to where I feel it's best if I avoid pr0n altogether. Im not going to dictate to anyone else what they oughta do, just consider this my completely unwarranted and worthless two cents.
IMHO I would love to see you continue doing SFW, however I will not ever judge anyone's preferences, and if you get into doing NSFW I will not criticize you, I will only respectfully ask that you please tag it accordingly.

I've never been uncomfortable making it.
I was uncomfortable with people who could not separate their fetishes from art that I created as, like, story telling.
They were saying that, because I made NSFW, this meant that I was not allowed to call any SFW regardless if my content was SFW or lacked anything sexual period.
They were saying the existence of sexual content made for others, meant my non-sexual SFW art, was now deemed NSFW and secretly sexual.

They did it for four years, and it drove me insane, so I stopped drawing sexual content for anyone.

I made sexual things because I knew there would be someone who would want to see that.

This is not about whether I am comfortable about making the sexual content or not.

This is looking to see, if people will be able to respect me and my own art, separately from the art and commissions I make for my supporters.

i love your art and characters but if you don't enjoy making nsfw of them i don't want you to burn yourself out
