BANNED TERMS: "top" and "bottom"!
Okay not really. x3
But I did want to establish a discussion topic for something confusing that pops up and causes a little difficulty for me and those who commission me sometimes!
Often people share their refs with me for YCH's and define character A and being the "top" and character B being the "bottom". Sometimes I make a mistake and think they mean the character, visually on the YCH, is the "bottom", when they mean the character who is "taking dick, etc." being the "bottom", regardless of their orientation in the drawing.
These terms are imprecise for the purposes of figuring out which character goes where x3 I often get the wrong characters drawn in the wrong poses.
I do want to make it clear I am not upset at anyone. <3 It isn't hard to redraw a sketch WIP to fix this problem (and you're always welcome to keep the first WIP, too!).
Plus, there have been plenty of times I have drawn the wrong character in the wrong pose even though it was perfectly clear. x3
In an effort to make it easier to label what character should go in which pose, I'm going to start to color code YCH poses. :D That way it's much easier.
Character A is in the "red" pose, Character B is in the "blue" pose, etc.!

Is it embarrassing to discuss it? Or just not somethin you wanna talk about?
I more often get frustrated with myself. "I did this AGAIN!?!?"
Letters and Colors seem like a really good way to clear up any issues/accidents for the future though. So I wishing you success in the future with em
(I don't wish luck anymore. Luck is fickle)
Life is a continuous learning process ~
We are always making changes to our work processes trying to get things to flow better than before! And using colors/letters is one. :3
i tend to work without wips (unless specifically asked) so it's bit me in the ass multiple times lol. totally my fault too
Providing extra WIPs has ended up saving me a lot of time and tears. x3 We do it 3 times before the final copy is completed.
Different processes work for different artists!
Color-labeling poses has been very helpful in projects with 3 or more characters, too. So just making it standard seems like a great solution!
Can't imagine anyone would see an issue with you simplifying it!
Sexually the bottom, physically on top in the piece D: !
Its not difficult
If you do only colors be sure you dont do red/green since red/green colorblindness is super common ;)
Hope it gets settled with minimal fuss!
