I much prefer tea due to an extremely screwed-up sense of smell that results in coffee and excrement smelling like the exact same thing, but someone I live with loves coffee, and I'm only a few miles north of Detroit, so obviously in North America.

As for artists... I actually have had an artist offer to draw my character basically any time I want free of charge, so that would cut down on expenses on your end.
