So, I have been listening to a lot of tracks off the front page in the last week or so and just about every time I go through the music there, I am finding one or two uploads from accounts that are just posting MP3s that they downloaded. Stuff from movies, tv shows, random top 40 stuff. I'm not talking about mashups or remixes here, I am talking about other peoples recordings just straight up uploaded, not credited and not altered in anyway.

I reported a few of these to FA as it is a direct violation of the upload policy, section 2.6, however FA seems to not want to take "third party reports" of this kind of thing.

So I guess this is just life here now. Space on the front page being clogged by bullshit, idiots out posting stolen content as if they wrote it and we all just have to suffer.

I am not sure what the best way to handle this kind of thing is. You could try calling it out in the comments I guess, or just flooding FA moderators with reports until they do something. I suppose if one wanted to be a real dick about it they could send links to those uploads to whatever lawyers are in charge of the IP being ripped off. Any of that seems like a lot of work considering how pervasive the issue is though.
