The World; The Entropy of Dragons
This journal is one massive defeatist and doomer rant, written by a cowardly nobody with no power to shape the world or his own country towards goodness.
I would suggest you don't read it. It's a writing exercise to get my feelings out. If Politics gives you depression, or you don't like evil dragon metaphors, I'd advise you not to read.
I love my evil dragon metaphors.
And I like Phil Collins

2025 has been a hard year for a lot of people. The worst aspects of the 2010s have returned in full force, and it seems that history is repeating itself.
I personally had to deal with the trauma of losing hope, seeing progress and humanity be taken away by the anesthetic powers that be. I don't hold any illusions that those in power care about my well-being. They don't know I exist; I'm a little more than a peasant. While I'm proud of my humble status, I also know it gives me no power, and at any day, any hour, you and I could become a forgotten statistic.
There are no illusions anymore; we are a nation currently ruled by Dragons. I am not going to name specifics; I'm sure you already know who I'm talking about.
I know what a dragon looks like. And there are a lot of them in high positions of power.
Right now, we are ruled by a horde of dragons, who have cheated their way to the top, throwing away any sense of honor in the name of power. They lost power before, and now they have gained it back. With their new power, they seek revenge against the country for voting against them before. They are plundering our wealth to keep in their hordes, and out of gleeful pettiness, they are using their barbarians and mercenaries to oppress their enslaved subjects. Ruling through entropy and fear, they seek to destroy any hope left in this country as they continue to poison the earth with their darkness. Once they're done with America, they'll move on to Europe, Asia, Africa, Mars, and the Galaxy. Bring death, fear, and decay under the shadows of their unholy wings. These Dragons have no equal, not even among themselves. They do not see their acolytes as equals, but rather as slaves in their machine. And they see their enemies as future slaves as well. That or food.
They talk of patriotism, faith, and morality. But none lies in their hearts; there is only greed, selfishness, and nihilism. These dragons only care for themselves and will even fight each other if they believe they'll gain more out of it. They rule now, not just in America, but across the world. Why are these dragons here? Perhaps it is because those who fight dragons have failed their mission. The Knights of Power, Men of Power. Our Benefactors, Our Protectors, failed their sacred duty to protect the weak and poor from evil. Did they fail because the dragons were too powerful? Or did their hubris get the better of them? Our Guardians failed because they got too comfortable, believing that the Dragons would never rise again.
There's a good reason why so many politicians want to ban video games, porn, books, speech, relationships, homosexuality, transexuality, and other things. It's not for any moral reason as much as it's a means of spiteful control. George Orwell wrote in his book 1984 that The Party sought to destroy anything that brought about things such as happiness, hope, love, and passion. The above gives those things, and those emotions are dangerous to The Party. The Party's greatest magnum Opus would be the total oblivion of the orgasm. In the real world, there's an epidemic of loneliness among both men and women. This is by design, as loneliness leaves a hole, and that hole can be filled with servitude. With the advent of AI, Dragonic reach has never been greater.
The Dragons say they love their God. But they killed and raped him long ago, and seek to create their own God in their image. One that can be controlled for their selfish benefit. The Dragons tell their followers many things: to reject what their eyes tell them, to reject their loved ones, and prostitute themselves to their overlords. They tell them not to ponder or imagine good things. Only the eventual evil to come. The Dragons lie by saying their cattle are lions as they lock them in chains. All of them are special, they say, but in truth, none of them are.
But out of all of this, in an ironic twist, these Dragons are always destined to lose. Their own evil will always bring about their own demise. Even if they're aware of it, they themselves are slaves to their own vices. And their vices will only lead to damnation. They will run out of worlds to conquer, gods to kill, and once they have consumed everything, they will be lost in the void of their own creation. Unloved and forever drifting.
I don't care if you're a Conservative, a Liberal, a Leftist, or a Rightist. We are all the same in the eyes of our Dragon overlords. Peasants and Slaves.
You should be nicer to people you disagree with. You have a lot more in common than you think. But to those who admire the Dragons, they are not on your side; they never were. They see you as a useful idiot, a pawn to be deposed. And sooner or later, they'll come to plunder your village as they will with mine. Unless there are some heroes and/or a benevolent deity to stop them.
The world, the universe, more than ever needs Champions. History is full of Dragons, and all of them have fallen.
But who can stop our Modern Dragons? And can they stop them before they turn the Earth into ash? One can hope.
If something amazing does happen, if the Dragons' Reckoning hopefully comes. I will delete this journal.

But seriously, yeah The years right now have been a clusterfuck of proportions incomprehensible (the parts we can comprehend, we wish we didn't).
So, I've elected to be an "observer" of the world; I'm a coward, but what else can you do if the powers that be (everywhere, not just in the US) actively ensure good progress is in vain?
Look away from the news or hear the genius idea the government fails and think “We’re so back.”. Repeat every day.
Calling the government and the elites dragons is at least unwarranted flattery . Because dragons are cool. Unlike our ruling gentry.
At this point, I'd rather we have literal dragons in power (good or bad, doesn't matter).
