Thanks to everyone's support, I have achieved my minimum goal for ketamine treatment. This will allow me to receive three treatments. However, because it is not a recognized medical treatment in Japan, my doctor is opposed to ketamine and is unwilling to consider the impact that ketamine-induced mental changes might have on my relationship with her on public medication. Furthermore, anesthesiologists who administer ketamine treatments are not able to provide public follow-up care because they are private practice. I am also caught up in various "frictions caused by differences in positions and ideologies among supporters," and I understand the difficulties, but I must recognize that the final decision is my own. I will try ketamine treatment at least once.
