I am disgusted.
No, I am revolted, by the despicable things happening in the United States these days.
It is one thing to crack down on illegal immigrants with criminal records, who are disrupting the peace and causing instability, and attempt to deport them lawfully and properly.
It is QUITE another, to gun down law-abiding, peacefully protesting United States citizens in cold blood on the street, and then try to lie about it when dozens, potentially even hundreds of recordings show that they're lying about it, under the pretense of 'defending the homeland'.
I am NOT diminishing the importance of Ms. Good, who was unfortunately shot 3 times whilst attempting to flee the scene. That was fundamentally criminal and the Icehole who did it should be spending life in prison for overt murder. My heart goes out to her family, friends and loved ones.
But this next one, REALLY says something about what ICE is doing now. And no, ignorance is NOT an excuse!
Alex Pretti was an ICU Nurse who was universally called an 'Extremely kind-hearted, caring and loving soul', by both family, friends, and coworkers. He worked at the Veterans Affairs facility in Minneapolis, and had made it his life's mission to make the lives of those brave men and women who dedicated the best years of their lives to the service and defense of the country they loved and cherished as their own. He held honor assemblies when his veteran patients passed away in his care, celebrating their lives and thanking them for their service not just with words, but real, affectionate, caring action. He wasn't just thankful, he wanted to give back to them, to reward them for their service overseas by making their recovery back home an easier one.
This man. This kind, sweet, loving man, was NOT a Domestic terrorist! He was NOT a disturber of the peace! He was NOT an insurrectionist and he was most definitely NOT a paid agitator! How DARE YOU!?!?! He was without a shadow of a doubt more patriotic and more whole-heartedly American than any one of those who are claiming he was a radicalized, murderous fanatic!
A nurse, who works at the Veterans Affair Facility, gets gunned down in cold blood in the street by people PAID to protect us, because he was trying to defend a woman who was being aggressively man-handled by those self-same 'protectors'.
He was called an insurrectionist because he was a licensed concealed gun carrier. Something, last time I checked, was not only important, but practically SANCTIFIED by the Political Right and its Republican followers. Killing someone in cold blood and claiming them being a concealed carry license holder was a primary excuse for them getting mag-dumped by 10+ guys in Federal Agent cosplay outfits would have caused extreme uproar from them! It'd be considered borderline sacrilege considering how highly esteemed the 2nd Amendment right is according to US Citizens! A gun he never touched until an ICEhole agent removes the gun, which if I'm not mistaken, is ALSO a violation of his 2nd amendment rights, given he was a concealed carry license holder and had made NO motion to reach for the gun during the footage presented across social media.
I am appalled

And I am ANGRY!
And so should every single other person! This is unacceptable, and it is blatantly a ploy by the Cheeto in Chief to...
1) Misdirect attention away from the 2 million+ Epstein files proving him to be a vile pedophile(If they didn't, why would he be so hellbent on hiding them?)
2) Cause enough violent insurrection that he can declare Martial law and run for an unamerican, TREASONOUS 3rd term.
Those 2 reasons are why he's doing this. NOT because he wants to protect the nation. NOT because he wants to clean up the streets and to deport illegal immigrants. NONE of it is true. He wants to do this to increase his odds of remaining in power, and to get the people's attention away from the files that WILL see him impeached and locked up for life on sex trafficking and sexual misconduct against a minor, charges.

But they will not. The teen toucher attempted a treasonous, violent coup and take over of the government (the absolute highest crime in the Constitution), and for his trouble he was voted back in a few years later so he could give unlimited pardons to everyone. He has already shown he can get away with anything in terms of legality because basically nobody will both call and punish him on it, and the only people willing and in a position to properly put him in check missed their shots.
He could personally record himself executing a puppy while reading his Epstein Island receipts, post the video online, and not a damn thing would actually happen.
My larger concern with ICE is when they start directing that attention to beyond immigrant populations. I heard from a colleague that works with indigenous populations that native americans are already starting to be harassed by ICE, which is absolutely and deeply troubling.
Everyone is so infuriated with everything that it has created the perfect breeding ground for "balkanization" and that can do two things: civil war or the breeding ground needed for others to seize control in the name of "keeping the peace." Both sides do it though, part to keep you focused elsewhere, as you say about the "eipstein files" which with what LITTTLLLEEE we know and I do believe it was... Less than 1% released? And it was damning of BOTH parties as I recall... Well... They cant have that. But, no matter your belief, just keep in mind that both sides are willing to keep escalating us into a civil war if it means hiding the truth and maintaining control.
I have heard no one, no one... Say simply "Hold up, things are getting out of hand, we know where this goes, we have watched other nations go down this road... Lets back up a moment before we all make a mistake we cant fix." Instead everyone, EVERYONE... Steps on the gas and takes aim at each other. Meanwhile that top 5% giggle with glee, watch their bank accounts spiral upwards and know that if the bottom 95% kills itself off, well... Who gives a shit, they fund both sides to kill each other.
I believe strongly as someone who studies history that the nation is so set in screaming "I hate you, I HAATTEEEE you!" from one half to the other and vice versa, for reasons they themselves do not completely understand or were not of their own making because... Truth be told, the nation has been guided here by people with more money and power than we can dream of, and also partially by a generation of total narcissists who did not care about consequences of economic policies... I do not believe this nation can survive what is coming.
A wedge was inserted about... three decades back, then hammered brutally, each side taking a turn at it in the past 10 and now they are filling the gap with gasoline without caring about consequences. Worst part, people are doing it themselves, someone else far, far, far away starts it, then lets the ball roll and inertia does the rest due to division. We hate each other so much I am not at all surprised about shootings, i imagine it will get worse. Not because someone ORDERED it, they dont HAVE to anymore. It will happen because everyone is convinced the other side HAS to be eliminated. All over competing ideas of the best way to have a stable, happy life free of criminal worries, inflation, the chance to just LIVE. Everyone wants the same end, but can not agree on the "how do we get there" without... Well, you know the rest.
Sad part is, 5% are causing the problem if even that many, probably... 0.1% or less... Because they like power and know no party or allegiance.
We are in the middle of "Hegelian Dialectic" right now, always have been, but now its more in your face.
-Epstein files though, both sides are horrified of that getting released, it will BUURRRNNNNN the system down if people got their hands on it because I imagine it would show to an extreme degree just how controlled things are in the most... Disgusting, way possible.

I work in education, and I have seen a growing worry among the student body. We have a lot of die-hard righties (Texas) that are VERY outspoken. One of my coworkers was recently and rightfully fired for asking 6th GRADERS about their "status" (if they were here illegally or not). There's also students that make jokes about calling ICE on their classmates.
It's sad to see this happening. Too many people dying. To many people suffering. Corruption, bloodthirst, and "holier then thou" mentality is destroying the country that I once thought was great.
