IT HAS HAPPENED
I DID IT.
BUT NOT JUST ME! WE! WE DID IT! COLLECTIVELY! MORE THAN 65% OF THE WORKFORCE TOGETHER!
We synchronized changing our backgrounds to be in support of a workplace union. I introduced us, and tee'd up the speakers, who spoke so beautifully and passionately and personally (THEY ARE THE TRUE CHAMPIONS!!!!!), and then I spoke again and gave my story, and tee'd up the Demander who stated our demands and the due date for the written response from leadership.
Our Closer then closed our segment and we returnedd to normal business.
Then I got to work in the background, got into the email account we set up for this unionization effort, and sent the formal demand letter to leadership/executives... and then sent a second email to 100% of bargaining unit eligible staff.
The cortisol rush has come, and gone. I will monitor our union email for updates.
