You know, sometimes I do stupid things that cause me incredible grief. And other times, I do things that help me out down the line. For instance, I realized this month when I got my electric bill, that I'd paid them twice the month before without realizing it. I never don't pay a bill, and I always make sure of that, but little did I know that there would still be a way for financial skullduggery to occur. What did I do with this extra cash? Put it toward other bills and credit card debt. And with the money from commissions? I armed my boyfriend with the ingredients necessary, and now I have the objects of my greatest lust.
Additionally, I bought Mega Man 10, and we've both been playing the dickens out of it. He chose to play through as the Blue Bomber, and I picked Proto Man, who can slide and blocks shots while jumping, but takes -three times- the damage. I love it, it's a great return to what made Mega Man fun, but... I find myself wishing that they'd let me use the shoulder buttons to shoot. Playing Megaman Zero may have spoiled me here- and I'm playing through those again currently, so I have basis for comparison- but after a while, my thumb hurts from charging Proto Man's buster. It's really a small complaint, but still a bummer when I have to stop playing for a while.
To take a serious turn, I've been thinking about something else lately. Unlike the good doctor Gwen, I'm not a licensed therapist. However, I've been giving people analysis and advice for some years now, and while I keep these conversations private, I do like to compile the information pertaining to fetishes because of how valuable I believe it to be- this is, to me, an ignored facet of psychology relegated to the outer edges of society, and treated more as a sideshow than something from which to gain very interesting bits of knowledge.
But to return to the therapy and advice part, I'm not so much doing this sort of thing because I want to replace professional help, but rather... because people often don't go to therapists in the first place. There's fear, stigma and all sorts of reasons why somebody wouldn't want to find and pay someone to listen to them. It's for this reason that I've been toying with an idea lately- creating an alternate account called Ask Doctor Gwen. Kind of a Dear Abby, but featuring a cute cartoon skunk girl who answers your questions. And using artistic shortcuts, I might even illustrate some of the more interesting questions in mini-comic format (anonymously unnamed, of course).
It's just an idea. There's room for abuse by trolls and the like, but it might be an easier way for me to sort through notes and such without getting everything all jumbled.

also, needs moar apple pie >.>
Also, I like the Ask Dr. Gwen idea! ^_^
Shit, man. You've got it Made.
Gwen thing would be fun to look into, just don't accidentally overwork yourself over it or anything.
Of course, I feel myself to be somewhat well adjusted, and I already see a psychiatrist, so...I dunno. Still, does seem like an interesting idea to play around with.
Dr. Gwen: Oh beleave me. We are both benifiting from these sessions.. I suggest you visit at least 3 more times this week.
Scotty: Yes docter
:P
And now off to bed because daylight savings made me realize it's 6 am x.x
I'd be game for the idea, definitely! :3
Now pardon me while I look for some pie.
Also, Root Beer Pie? That sounds both horrifying and awesome all at the same time. I'll have to try some one day. X3
Also, PIE!!!!!!!111one <#
The journal... oh, gosh. That would take some major organizing to be anything comprehendible. I'll look into it.
If you want I can help you. I am no licensed therapist either, but I am a bit into psychoanalysis.
As for sonic and megaman fanfiction, http://twoevilscientists.smackjeeves.com/comics/ may also be your taste.
YAY PIE! lol
ok what is wrong with this site today? when i type nothing shows up and the window freezes. then 3 or 4 minutes later the text i typed shows up. i'm typing blind here! the fact that your able to read this is a miracle. what with all the mistakes i normally make and all...
Also, there's not only a stigma that prevents people from professional help, there's also the fact that depressingly few people can afford professional help any more.
I know that's what keep ME from seeing a good shrink. (that and the irresistible urge to tell them bad psychology jokes)
Also, I think you have an awesome idea here, but I don't think you need to make another account for it. Can you just do the Ask Dr. Gwen project on your account as it is?
Somehow I'm thinking the peer review of your work shall be somewhat spirited. :)
