The Most Illegal Magic The Gathering Deck EVAH!
Yeah, I stopped collecting and playing with most people (especially in tournaments) right about the time sixth edition came out. Like most people, financially, it was not possible for me to keep up with the number of cards they were pumping out. On top of that, once they hit that point they seemed to be making the game a cheeser/power gamer's wet dream. Eventually tiring of n00bz thinking they were "cool" because they could deface the honor of the game and us older players, I finally decided to build a deck that would beat them at their own game.
Yeah... There's no way this deck is legal anymore...
Deck Name: Bastard Deck (Manawell Version)
Artifact
Black Lotus. x8
Mox Ruby, x9
Mox Sapphire, x9
Blue
Ancestral Recall, x4
Red
Fireball, x2
Disintigrate, x4
Lightning Bolt, x4
If anyone's wondering how I get away with having more than 4 copies of a spell, this is the old Duels of the Plainswalker's game for the PC.

one'a m'fav stratagies was puttin' a shitload'a enchantments on a rabid wombat an jackin' up m'life so high with a few spirit links on it, heh after awhile the enemies wouldn't even bother attackin'... ;)
COUNTERSPELL
Bastard deck works to fast for Counterspell to be of any effect. Even IF the opponent has the first turn, and draws a Counterspell in their starting hand, remember that you can only cast one mana into play at a time.
Artifact mana sources, however, do not have that same glass roof. And it is common to draw several at a time.
So, even if your opponent somehow DOES managage to counerspell you, they can only counterspell up to four seperate cards. And since you have 26 mana and 10 attack spells (all of which can do anywhere from 1 to 42 points of damamge), you can destroy any opponent usually within three to four turns, if that.
Of course, that's WHY that tactic has been illegal almost since it was originally created.
Some of my friends love Yu-Gi-Oh!. I played it when it first came out, but didn't really like it that much. I gave my good cards to my friend Alan, and let Billy have the rest.
