Legalization of gay marriage in France

It's confirmed! The clause giving the right to same-sex couple to get married and adopt children just passed earlier today at the French Parliament. Now gay marriage will be as official as heterosexual marriage under the law. There are still many amendments to be debated at the Parliament (5000) during the following weeks but the legitimacy of same-sex marriage has been voted in favour: 249 to 97.

It proves mentality slowly starts to change regarding homosexuality equal rights, and it's gestures like those which will maybe make bigoted people more tolerant towards those perceived as different. I hope half the population who is against the idea of same-sex marriage in France will come to terms with the bill eventually. Gay couples deserve as much to have the right to raise children as "normal couples" if they wish to!

Aaaanyway, I'm sure America will make it happen. It's legal everywhere in Canada since 2005, among with 10 other countries as of today. France has done it and there are some rumour of a similar bill in the future this year in UK, so they're bound to do it someday!
