Assertive guys have always been my type but for some reason or another I tend to attract "submissive" guys- why I don't know. I hate guys that can't stand up for themselves or want me to make ALL the decisions for them- from what games to play to how to please them in bed (tmi I know, lol).

Yeah, this is true: I intimidate assertive guys since I don't act like a "typical female" (read: one they see as needy and needs "rescusing" or dependent upon). Which is fine but it kills me how assertive guys want a "weaker" female in their presence; I will never understand that.
I honestly see you as just "I do whatever the hell I want" type. I mean you've got submissive, assertive and aggressive types. I kinda see you as in the middle: you take charge when you have to but otherwise you just stand out of the way and do your own thing
Honestly, I don't really understand it either; I get where those guys are coming from, but generally speaking I'd view such a partner as a massive liability? I'd love to love and protect someone (shit, I'd probably be more protective than most guys with subby gfs) but would much prefer it if they were capable of taking care of themselves. I think that "protective" quality often manifests itself in other areas such as possessiveness/domeering/control/trust issues and what not.
