You find a really pretty flower in a gardening catalog, and your first thought is "Hey, that's gorgeous, I wonder if I can eat it." Then you proceed to spend the next 30 minutes looking up the latin names and edibility comparisons until you find the answer, and when you discover that you can;t eat it, you decide it doesn't need to be growing in your garden after all, no matter how pretty it is. LOL
Yeah, I eat flowers... and most everything else that stays still long enough. Unless I'm allergic or have a negative reaction to it anyway.
So... Happy spring! I'm planting after Wild Nights, but first, so harvest those redbud flowers for my famous purple salad. YUM!
