For the last week or so there's been a kitten of about 8 weeks around my backyard which has been driving the dogs absolutely up the wall, and we (mostly my aunt) have been trying to catch the little bugger so that we can get it to a new home.

WELL GUESS WHAT. She managed to get it into a cage, and we got it to the carport to try and keep it cool, feed it, and give it some water to drink.

And I done fucked it all up. I went out to check and make sure it had water, which it turned out that it didn't. So I untied the jury rigged top to get the water bowl out, and went to go fill it back up. AND I KNOW WHAT YOU MIGHT BE THINKING! It got out while I was filling up the water bowl! Nope. It was still there, but as I opened the lid to put the water down it sprang out of the cage and darted off to what I have to assume was the direction of a neighbor's yard.

Which honestly, it's probably for the best that it not be stuck in a cage for several days even if it is fed and given water. It'll probably find a place to call home now that it's run off towards another house. Which in the time that we had it in the cage I asked all the friends in my local area if they knew of anyone that wanted a kitten and no luck. So yeah.

I'm hot, I've got a headache, and I'm cranky. I'm going to take a nap. The kitten will be fine I'm sure.
