Please remember to stay hydrated and eat every 4 hours or so. It is sooo easy to forget to eat. And do your best to sleep at night, adderall does not work well when you do not get enough sleep.

Oh yeah for sure, I was on Vyvanse for 4 years, it did essentially everything that Adderall does except for the fact that I don't get so jittery I've got water with me and I ate before I took the prescription so I should be good 👌

I do however feel like I could write a 23-page essay sooo ima hop to work before I get distracted else where LMAO

I was put on Adderall (pretty much everyone in my family is) and I found that taking a full pill of Adderall would make me feel great, however I'd get HORRIBLE stomach cramps and sweat way too much and get really nauseous. I decided to cut down to just a half a pill, and it worked great for me! No sweats or horrible stomach cramps/aching or nausea. Just thought I should let you know if you're having any kinds of problems, such as mine. Then again, I am on the highest dose there is. Not sure what your dose is. Mine look like little light orange ovals that taste kinda sweet. Anyway, I'm sorry you're having to go through this kind of thing. I absolutely hate it when doctors don't fill or refill your scripts when you NEED it and it's time for it, or switch you off of it all together. Really pisses me off, because if something works for you, then it works for you! Just be careful with the come-down that Adderall has when you run out. Even if you only take a few of them (Like one to two a day for say, four days) it can make you feel REALLY shitty, unless you have some sort of anti-anxiety/benzodiazepine with you. Really F's with your head and can make you think bad things :/ !

( P.S. If your Psychiatrist tries to put you on something called "Strattera", Don't EVEN take that shit! It's just a type of ADD/ADHD medication that has no Amphetamine in it and has no effect at all! Make sure you tell the doctor to put you on Adderall, seeing as though that works for you! ahhh i wish i could stay on adderall but i have to take 3 pills for it to kick in and i hate the way it makes me jitter, i'm just going back to vyvanse because it's one pill and it doesnt make me jitter as much/at all HAHA sadly it's $270 vs $50 a month

That sucks D: ! I know how you feel, though. I used to take a painkiller that costs on average $1500+ and had to switch to something else, even if it only went down to $1000-$800. However, we looked around for "mom and pop" pharmacies and found it for only $300!I was just wondering -- without getting too in-depth into your private life -- if you get your vyvanse from big brand markets like Walgreens, CVS, or Walmart, and if so, if you've ever tried "mom and pop" pharms? There's also the app/site called GoodRx/RxQuotes where they find the best prices that also include small brand pharmacies. According to GoodRx.com, you can get vyvanse for little more than $270 (give or take, depending on where you live, How many Mg's and Quantity) and with GoodRx you get the best price at that pharmacy on your phone or computer and both GoodRx and Drugs.com will even give you printable coupon cards for your meds (There are also several other Rx printable coupon sites, too). Also on the vyvanse Website, they give coupons, too (For half off, I believe, if not more) or have a program called "Shire Cares" that, if you're on low-income, you can get it for free (I don't know what exactly specifies as Low-Income for their site, though. You'd have to look that up.) I absolutely hate it when big brand pharmacies rip you off royally for something that you can get for a MUCH lower price or even for free, and don't even tell you about it :/ !
Sorry if I got a bit riled up and if I dabbled a bit too much into your life! I'd just like to see you get better and not take something because of the price, and that doesn't work that well for you (Of which I've had to do in the past.) :'c !
All I'm saying is look around for pharmacies in your area that aren't well known online (Usually, if you enter your State, Area and sometimes Zip, then the pharmacies that are local and X amount miles away will come up), call them up and they will usually tell you how much your medication is there and for what Mg+quantity. If I understand it correctly, vyvanse doesn't have a generic, so they'll probably give you the price straight up front. If the price suits you, or if you use the life-time coupon or free low-income service that they provide online, just tell your doctor/psychiatrist to mail your refill to that pharm and present the coupon for either (Usually you print out the Coupon and give it to your Psychiatrist or Doctor, and they'll make a note/check a list on the refill sheet if they do it by computer. If by hand, then you can take your print out with your script to the pharmacy and they'll keep that on file every time you come for your refill).

However, if all else fails, There is another drugs called dextroamphetamine, which (From what I've heard) Acts just like Vyvanse, only half the cost. If you'd like to look into that one, you can search for it, however I hope the info above will help you ;w; ~!

I take adderal and it should not make you jitter. I'm a classic case of ADHD and just a very small dose is enough to tide me over. I know everyone is different but when I go higher I get massive headaches and some jitters. I suggest not taking 3 at a time, cut back on it. My dose is 10mg twice a day and I refused to go higher. Cut back about half of what you'd normally take. Just remember adderal is a powerful drug, the worse of it's side effects is it can cause heart palpitations and you don't want those. Keep yourself healthy and eat plenty ^.^

Now depression is tricky... I do suggest that therapist. They can help put things into perspective that you might not have noticed or have just ignored. Find the right one and they are amazing.

I really do suggest cutting down on your dosage of adderal. Even if you are getting half the effect and none of the jitters, you'll be more comfortable and not so jumpy.
