Ranting out loud//
She wanted to meet me in person with her lawyer and have me sign a formal agreement....over $45.
Yeeeeah no, and the people I have messaged was strictly for the sake of the AB but you know what? I don't even care anymore. I just honestly can't wait for this crap to be over with and it's really up to the claims worker now.
Yes, going through PayPal to file a dispute was a dick move normally but in this case I don't feel it's right that I get anything less than the full amount back. Because the artist disagrees with me and will continue to spread lies about the specifics there's literally nothing left I can really do aside from what I've already put in place.
I'm sorry, but I'm not going to meet up with this artist in person to be bullied by her and her lawyer into signing something I don't agree with. No. It's not fair to me and it's not happening for several reasons. Some personal having to do with my anxiety, but more importantly--I don't believe for one second that she just happened to find the lineart fully completed like that. And then that same morning my mate (the one replying to her that morning we were asking about the refund) asked her to send it and we didn't hear back from her until 7pm that night. The lineart wasn't right, and that's when I just lost it.
The reference pics/gallery I deleted of Anastasia the Fox--- I sold the rights for the character in question back to my friend, the previous owner on May 29th. Same day on May 29th I removed Anastasia's art gallery folder on here because I no longer owned the character. If she no longer has the reference links/pics I sent her, it's because she didn't save them to her new hard drive after she had it replaced. She never asked me for those references again, so I assumed she still had them I dunno maybe saved to Trello?
The people whiteknighting for me are just my friends and they seriously put their own two cents in on their own free will. I do not send people to purposely attack others just out of spite, c'mon...seriously.
I would also like to point out, while I'm ranting again about this sh*t that in the FIRST sentence of her beware she placed on me, she tell everyone that the piece was already "partially colored"---nope. It wasn't. And it's funny only because she too shared our entire convo back and forth and you can SEE she only sent me that lineart, no colors. Unless she's counting the white background as partial coloring.
For all I know, she's sent a completed looking piece to PayPal as her proof and I could get f*cked over more.
I am actually a really patient sweet person, people who know me, who have worked with me, collabed with me on small things, they know this. If she had come at me like, "Hey, I'm so sorry for the wait. You know a lot of things have been happening with me lately and it's been crazy but I haven't forgotten about you." That would have been cool, like okay no problem and I wouldn't have to sit there for two months just watching them put out new for sale slots every week or so. Instead I got attitude, "Idk what else to say other than please be patient?"
My boyfriend isn't like me, he doesn't dance around subjects and when he took my laptop that morning with the "EXCUSE me?" stuff he wasn't f*cking around. But I read what he said at no point was he rude to her he used caps for emphasis but what he was saying I agreed with 100%. He was just direct.
But you know, f*ck me right? I'm the scammer apparently in all of this even though she would have me walk away with nothing to show for the wait art wise because I wasn't getting to keep the lineart. The lineart that was incorrect. And I still stand by that. I stand by everything I've posted and said in regards to this situation. It's ridiculous and what sparked everything was her attitude. When you're professional and courteous with me as a customer, you're awesome. I tip artists who are super nice through the process if I can afford to do so. But when you act like I'm inconveniencing you when I'm just asking for an update it makes me feel awkward for just getting basic info on something I purchased from you. I'm a human too, with problems and struggles, health problems of my own too.
And I've read the comments on her journals and the bewares. Well glanced through mostly there were quite a few one-sided responses of course.
I only purchase art....when I'm comfortable or sell adoptables and don't need anything at home. Art is a luxury to own and commission, but if I'm paying someone more than $30 for a single piece I kind of expect to ask/receive WIPs after the first week or so if I'm next in their queue unless they've told me when they'd be able to get to it.
/End rant
