The fandom also has plenty of people to talk to about what you are going through man.

Don't leave people in the dark, if you need help ask for it.

The previous posters make good points. But the decision is yours to make and whatever you decide to do is fine.

I'm sorry that you've found mostly bad experiences in the fandom. I guess the furry fandom isn't exactly known for being the best, that sucks.

I've personally found that its better to myself not to get involved in it too much and try to enjoy it from a distance... too many crazy folks on here.

I can relate. Ten years here and while there's been some good, overall it's just been a sad awful experience. It's kinda funny that a fandom that prides itself on being open and friendly can be one of the most painful places ever.
