Something I learned today...

if you have some sort of infrared remote and you want to test to see if it is working:
- take a digital camera and the remote (best to do if you sit both devices on a table)
- point the remote at the camera
- then press any button on the remote and while looking at the camera screen, and you can see the infrared LED flash, indicating the device is working.
can be helpful in seeing if the device is working, the battery isn't dead, a particular button on the remote isn't working, etc.
just a neat little thing I thought I'd pass along.
