I've never understood vore really

I too am a non-vorey dragon

I share this sentiment, even tho i do have an odd fetish for a particular sub-genre of vore called unbirthing... and i will not be judged by the likes of simpletons that can not open their minds to the possibilities! *drops mic and walks away*

well theres hard vore and soft vore. hard vore i dont understand at all. soft vorei do understand though.

Both usually end with the death of the subject. This isn't an anti-vore rant though. It's more focused on the fact that as a dragon, I'm just automatically expected to be into vore.

yeah that seems to be a big problem. Not sure how soft ends in the death of the subject. soft is meant to be a complete avoidance of that.

My understanding is that hard vore is graphic depictions of dismemberment/digestion while soft vore doesn't depict it. Most of what I've seen still involves the death of the subject (usually by digestion) it's just implicit with imagery of the stomach shrinking, a belch with a skull and crossbones, etc, rather than explicitly shown.

Not what ive experianced. theres probably some kind of middle ground and deffinitions are mixed.

That'd just be the stereotype, dragons aren't all the same, in habits, personalities, powers, etc.

However, I really just don't understand vore.

Having the expectation of others of automatic compliance to common herd behaviors, bleating these expectations at people doing something different as facts that apply to them and implying they are doinitwrong. Its called being a sheep. Easiest way for them to fit in and feel self confident is to parrot the behavior patterns of others. Willfully deceive themselves into believing this robotic mimicry is "individuality". Talking down to others for actually doing something besides what the herd usually does. ie actually being an individual.
But thats none of my business.

Don't sweat it. Just do your thing and pay no attention to the straw men.

Its fantasy art. Who the fck would have the audacity to suggest their are certain rules or expectations that you must abide.

Yeah generally we live in an odd world, we are all guilty of it at some point, but when it comes to things like fetishes, not everyone can share in them.

I tend to imagine things to a more realistic extent, which makes me wonder how someone can enjoy it, or even as far as things like hanging, castration, or decapitation. I don't see how any of those are appealing because of the implications it can have. I can understand those things being fictional novels to add realism to the story, but as a fetish takes the psychology to a very different level.

Maybe nothing you would do in reality. Its simply for the high of the fantasy and usually left at just that.
Can't say I'm any different. Being into alien reptiles, dragons and things. Though exploring different kinds of sex is healthy. If you are not actually hurting yourself or someone else to do it. If you possess an iota of misanthropy which has now manifested into a variety of xenophilia and an attraction to this brand of fantasy art, furry and what-have-you, then just go for it. But don't think for a second its okay to push your individual opinions as facts which apply unanimously. No one likes a haughty, bossy brat talking down to them for not liking what you like.

Yeah, I can see that, but I do keep in mind that your imagination does activate the same neurons as actually experiencing it, such that if you read about sky diving it will help prepare your brain for sky diving by activating the same neurons.
