Sadness on it's way.

Being taught to avoid talking about Politics and Religion has led to a lack of understanding of Politics and Religion. What we should have been taught was how to have a civil conversation about a difficult topic.
My father, in his nursing home, is taking a self-turn for the worse. he is starting to refuse medication and food. The nursing home is considering changing him over to hospice care, with the thought that he is just tired of the fight, and is giving up. more news as it develops.

according to Mom who saw him today, he was more pliant and ate a cookie. whether she can still get food into him remains to be seen. whether he sticks with not eating or refusing meds, remains to be seen.
