Why I don't post here anymore
I'm still getting commissions. That hasn't changed. What did change was that when I went to upload some of them I ran afoul of one of FA's content guidelines. I didn't receive a warning or any notice. I simply logged in one day and was greeted with a "you have been permabanned" banner. I was able to work through the appeals process to get the van reversed, but that has made me apprehensive about uploading content.
This is especially problematic for me because I tend to add a lot of dialogue, and background text (posters etc.) To art that I commission. This text is where the violation occured. What that means is that every upload I put up is a potential bomb that can go off in my face. This is even without malicious intent or some history of uploading forbidden content. Save for the permabanning and one image takedown I've never had any interactions with FA's. This also seems to be against FA's own policy of violation escalation (with permabanning being the absolute last resort with 4 tiers before that) though frankly I have no idea if that was their policy at the time.
I get a lot more value out of FA as a content aggregator and communication dropoff than i get out of sharing my own content. I don't get any kind of thrill for uploading, it was just a side thing I did for fun because I thought others would enjoy it. So risking getting permabanned for some mistake in the future to do something that's more for other people than for me is not a profitable move.
The above is reason one. Reason two is that I strongly dislike the sites attitude over harassment. I get death threats and shitty notes on a semiregular basis. They don't really bother me, I just ignore the person, and move on. But FA's policy is to not punish these people. As long as they don't try to circumvent the block they're welcome to say whatever they want to you in the initial salvo. Which just leaves me flabbergasted.
The third reason is I don't like the slow-creep of progress deplatforming and censorship that's worked it's way in the code of conduct and acceptable upload policy. One that seems skewed towards banning right wing extremists from the platform exclusively. I have no specific desire to consume any of their content, and I find 99% of far right ideological convictions abhorrent, but I don't want a platform picking and choosing what content I should be looking at.
All these reasons, but primarily number one, are why I don't upload art here anymore.
PS. Please don't take this as some kind of attack or screed against FA. I'm just trying to explain the haitus and why it's probably never going to end. I may move to a mastadon instance and upload content there. Or Twitter, though Twitter has extremely vague policies about transgressive content and enforcement of banning for posting it.

Do you have a Pixiv? Your content could fit there. I've certainly seen worse uploaded there.
To be frank, I kind of hate their site layout. I find it difficult to just download content.
Which sucks because I was starting to branch out of my comfort zone into guro, plus I tried to start up a noncon club on this site for people who like the fantasy only to be informed that it was against the tos to do such a thing (posting other peoples art even if you have permission, which I did get in writing).
Sooner or later I fear a massive porn ban will happen, and I really should get the life boats ready.
What's funny the porn bots actually got worse afterwards.
As for where to go, I was thinking of going to Pivix, Ink Bunny or just find a way to pile all of my art work I make and sell it in a package when FA pulls that trigger.
But yeah, I feel like I'm walking on egg shells on this site, even if I followed the rules to a T.
Might be worth checking out tbh. That, and honestly, you gotta admit the upload system for IB is leagues and bounds better, and easier to use than FA's ever was. (and lets not forget the upload pool system they have, which is awesome for uploading comics into a single post)
Really unfortunate you had a run in with an FA mod like that though. Going straight to a permaban for a first offense is absolutely overkill in any situation, and there was no reason for that to happen. Sadly, it would seem the mods on here tend to do that more times than not, especially lately. Its very hit or miss, and that could spell big trouble for this site if Dragoneer doesn't get his team in line with their own damn rules.
It's vague though, so it's unclear if that means you can't link to a specific image, or if you can't link to an entire domain.
For example, if Inkbunny has ageplay artwork on it, does that mean you can't link to inkbunny at all? Or just specific accounts? Or just specific image posts? What about linking to an account that primarily features ageplay artwork? It's not very clear.
Rip and tear that is :V
Just make sure to let us know where you go. I wish to follow your work.
Do what you must and what works best for you!!
We will follow you to where find a good place to post!!
These days the more extreme the better! Those that can't get it in their head that this is all fantasy are the ones with the real problem!!
Please seek therapy.
Beyond that, then yes IB seems to be the best option... and while tools like postybirb could help streamline the upload process, the migration would still take ages.
While there seems to have been a migration tool from FA to IB, it seems to be very old by now. https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/1920443/ so old that the security certificate has run out so there may be *some* risk involved. It can also only do 20 submissions an hour... but it may still be worth a shot.
I really miss your stuff and I don't feel like joining another Discord server...
All I can say is: you could maybe port like 1 image a day, so you'll be done eventually or something. Don't burn yourself out on trying to migrate everything ASAP, especially as long as it's still available on FA.
I'd love to see what you're up to.
bit shocked and disgusted that FA doesn't punish people sending you death threats. That's quite honestly disgusting on their part.
I hope at the very least people have stopped harassing you?
