There is L O R E in yugioh card art. A collab of Arch-Types within yugioh. And it all started when the WORMS invaded and the 4 tribes fought against them for their lives: MIST VALLEY, FLAMVELL, X-SABER, and ICE BARRIER.

i used to play, i had madolches, quasar lockdown, and cyberdragons but then to many changes and too many speical summons

Oh! Have you read up on the funny little lore story that includes MISTAKE, TOUR BUS FROM THE UNDERWORLD and a few other cards? Poor Sangan ends up way over his head in some trouble.

I haven't got into detail on that one, but yeah, from the cards i've picked up, Sangan hasn't had a good day. Love that the card art isn't always random and there's a story going on.

does this mean we can expect yu-gi-oh lewds?

the duelist terminal timeline is one of the most underrated stories in ygo lore. really sad that dt machines were super scarce outside of japan

what about the World Legacy?

I used to have a bunch of Naturia cards that I wanted to main, and wanted to see if there were gonna be newer cards to work with; only find out they were, lorewise, essentially killed off by the Qliphort and shadoll. After that, it kinda soured my mood of getting back into yugioh, also after finding out about the meta and their high demand for hand traps and other features that got outta hand for me.

Naturia's were first attacked way earlier. They were attacked by the Worms earlier. Leodrake was Naturia's protector during the invasion. But yeah, Qliphort and Shadolls screwed them over. And yeah, I also wanted to build a good pure Naturia deck, but they're pretty not good.

The naturia deck I ended up building was centered around getting bamboo shoot out asap (though with how common effect veiler is now, shoot has dropped significantly in quality) and swarm with dragonfly, mosquito and fruit flies to keep the opponent's numbers low; but with how the latest print cards are designed, Naturia is just too slow it seems. I figured thematically their nail in the coffin was by the Qliphort uprooting their tree, and the signal no new cards were ever gonna come.

Sad really. But at this stage im waiting on a reprint of Cherries, cause that card is expensive right now. But if Flamvells, The Fabled, and Ice Barriers are getting some support, there's hope for the other Duel Terminal arch-types.

Just take a look at Gagagigo - it's not even part of an archetype but he has a long, tragic story.

Mostly refering to the Duel Terminal series. Great lore, but early sets of cards aren't that good.

look up the madoleche monsters. they the sweetest things

(so it not letting me edit) the madoleche stuff all just keeps getting put back to the deck with continous cards doing things like. your returning a card to the deck put it in your hand. ohh card was going to graveyard put it in the deck, ohh you put a card going from the deck to your hand summon it in atk and most bs returned a card to the deck set a spell or trap card from the deck

No mention of poor Sangan who got on the wrong bus and got busted for trafficking pot :Y?...of greed~.

im aware of a bunch of other stories, but the Duel terminal ones got my interest so much, im buying cards related to them.
