Nekomew's Potty Trouble Hidden Backstory Theory!

Content warning: Child AbuseThis Theory kinda assumes you played the game, or know how it goes, otherwise a lot of things I'm about to say won't make sense, and obviously contains spoilers for Nekomew's Potty trouble.
The game has a few strange things it never explains out of the gate, why are Nekomew's Parents Dogs, when he's so obviously a cat? Who is this hooded cat character, and why does she catch Nekomew if he pees himself? What's up with all the nightmares and monsters? While the extra mode cutscenes kinda explains everything that happens in the story. I kinda want to focus more on the Nightmares themselves.
I have seen all the nightmares he has, and at first they just seem like random jumbled dreams, however if you take all the nightmares and rearrange them, they kinda tell a hidden backstory to the game! I don't think I've seen anyone talk about it, but here's my take on it. Yep, I'm going to pull a game theory on this 3-4 year old horror game no one really knows about! and unlike game theory, it's not going to be 15 minutes long and crammed with filler and dumb jokes!
So! There are a Total of 8 nightmares and in each one we are introduced to a new monster and they are in order: The Pigeon, The Car, The Penguin, The Anglerfish, The Wasp, The Paramedic Rat, The Poodle Clown, and The Demon Cat (who is Nekomew's mother as confirmed in the extra mode cutscenes.) They are first introduced in a nightmare, where a tiny snippet of a story is told, before Nekomew wakes up, cowering in fear, as the doll explains what the new monster does and how to beat it. None of them can truly hurt you, and will just increase you bladder meter, the game only ends once the hooded cat (Nekomew's Sister) grabs you after pissing yourself.
Alright, lets get down to it, and let me tell you the story of how a death in the family caused absolute horrors in a young boy's life.
Part 1: The Accident
(The Car, The Rat, and The Penguin)
A few months ago, Nekomew and his father were out one day, as they were crossing the road, A car turns a corner, and Nekomew watches in shock as his father was hit by a car, the driver steps out of his car horrified...
Nightmare 2:
(An ambulance is seen in the background along with car headlights.)
Oh my god, no...
W-what have I done...?
I'm sorry...
I didn't see him...

An ambulance quickly arrives on the scene to examine the victim of the crash, and a paramedic attempts to revive him with CPR, trying over and over again, however is unable to do so, as the victim was killed in the crash...
Nightmare 6:
(An Ambulance is in the background, and a rat in the foreground is performing CPR on someone.)

A News reporter or journalist comes in, photographing the accident, however is wondering what a child as young as Nekomew is doing at the scene of a car crash, and as he doesn't know that the man who was killed was his father, tells the kid to go away and not look at the horrific accident that had taken place. Nekomew then heads home, in absolute shock.
Nightmare 3:
I hate this job, always photographing incidents...
I'm sick of seeing misfortunes...
But...?! What's this kid doing here?!

Part 2: Mother's Wraith
(Mother, The Poodle Clown, and The Anglerfish)
After hearing the news that her husband is dead, Nekomew's Mother demands to know who or what happened which lead to his death, in a state of fear, his sister blames her younger brother as he was there when their father was killed (maybe Nekomew did something reckless which lead to his father chasing after him and getting hit by a car) his mother soon comes up to his son and starts punishing him horribly causing the poor kitten to sustain some awful injures.
Nightmare 8:
(Nekomew's Mother is yelling at another cat (Most likely his sister) while Nekomew cowers behind a wall away from them)
NM: Who has done it?
I'm not going to ask again!
NS: I-It was him...
NM: Where is he?!
NS: He did hide there...
NM: Why are you hiding from me?
I won't hurt you...
I won't hurt you...
These injuries might have been so bad that it might have put Nekomew in hospital, his mother makes a lie about how he got so injured, however the doctors might not have bought it, Nekomew, too scared... choses not to talk, so the doctors try to cheer him up by bringing in a clown (This may have ended up scaring him more than cheer him up)
Nightmare 7:
(The Poodle never speaks, someone else is talking)
The mother said he fell down the stairs.
The little boy says no words...
Let's try with the clown, he might explain to him something
(A door then opens and the Poodle clown appears, dancing at the doorway.)
After looking closer at some of his injures, they might have soon learned that he was abused, and that they decide to get the police involved. shortly after he was sent home, the police or CPS arrive at Nekomew's mother's home and most likely arrest her, or at the very least took Nekomew away from her. (judging by how the Anglerfish is dressed with a blue shirt and Black tie it is most likely that it was a police officer or maybe working with CPS) Nekomew's sister is nowhere to be found however.
Nightmare 4:
(this appears to be a conversation between two people)
A: Good afternoon.
NM: What's going on? What are you doing here?
A: You already know it, we only follow orders.
NM: NO! This is my home and WHATEVER I SAY GOES!
A: Stand aside, we deal too often with people like you.
NM:NO PLEASE! LET M...
!!!
A: Here you are...
(The anglerfish then appears out of nowhere, right next to Nekomew)
Part 3: Foster Care
(The Pigeon and the Wasp)
Nekomew is soon sent to a Orphanage where he is most likely to be relocated to a new family, with an elderly pigeon as its owner.
Nightmare 1:
Come on! We'll find you a home.
Although you won't understand it now...
...in the future you'll thank me...

After some time, the loving Dog couple who are Nekomew's current parents, decide to adopt him as their own child. One of the caretakers arrives to break to him the good news, Nekomew however, is too shocked from everything before is still quivering, or he might be worried that his sister might come for him.
Nightmare 5:
Oh dear! Do you know what day is today?
Today is your last day here!
Are you afraid to leave? Dear you tremble like a pudding!
Is it because of your sister? Too bad they didn't find her...

After adopting him, they decide to move into a brand new house and thus the game begins, however Nekomew's Mother and Sister have their own plans...
Extra questions and Clarifications
Why did you choose his father as the victim?
Okay, I'm kinda stretching at assuming that it was Nekomew's Father who was killed in the accident, but the reason I think so is due to a few reasons, first, the driver identified the person he hit as Male, second, why would Nekomew be out alone without adult supervision? His mother couldn't have been with him as he would have seen her in the nighmares recalling the accident, and his mother seemed extremely angry at something that happened recently (I think it's safe to say that losing a loved one might have driven her over the edge to hurt her son).
Why would Nekomew's mother want him back if she abused him?
My guess is she genuinely felt regret with what she did and probably wants a second chance to reunite with her son, however, considering that his mother is kidnapping children, and doing really shady stuff in order to find him once more, I think it might be better for him to stay with his current parents, as they seem to show more concern and love for Nekomew.
What's with that ending? why'd his sister go after him?
I think she also wants him back as well, or maybe wants him to forgive her for telling on him... As she seems reluctant at times to listen to her mother. I don't know... it's honestly up in the air...
Explain the water monster
There's no backstory to him, but like the other hallucinations, it's to encourage him to pee, so he can be found easier.
WHAT THE F**K WAS THAT THING IN THE TOILET THAT CAN ACTUALLY ATTACK HIM!?
My guess is it was an extremely powerful hallucination to get Nekomew to pee on the ground, as if you lose to that thing, his sister is still the one to catch him. citation needed

Wanted to add in about the water monster. In the gallery, it appears to be a plumber.. and since you see it on the pipe, could be fixing a leak.. or drippy pipe. Since it sounds like dripping in game hence covering your ears to keep from hearing the 'drip drip drip'
The pigeon lady could possibly be a creepy old lady as a foster home mom.

I also suspected the cat demon was his real mother and the dogs adopted him, but i guess there was a lot to it indeed!
The grammar in English seems kinda off in points, which can be frustrating especially in the nightmares when there's a story to be told, so I saw the game in the Spanish translation for the most part and only a few distracting grammar/word choices are present in that version.
In the English version, I'm fairly certain the line is "I didn't see h...", leaving the identity of the victim ambiguous, and I think it's ambiguous in the (likely) original Catalán but it's almost certainly male, but in Spanish "No lo vi" is PRECISELY male or "it" if the object is masculine, but given that there's CPR done on the victim, it's a person.
Furthermore, in Nightmare 5, the Spanish version says Nekomew trembles like a flan. I don't know why they changed it to pudding, it's just...not quite there.
In Nightmare 8, the sister says something more along the lines of "he's hiding over there," rather than a past tense "did hide", in Spanish.
I don't know if Nekomew's sister is the one to get him if you lose to the toilet monster...to tell you the truth, I am unable to play the game due to physical limitations, but can watch someone else (including a friend, I've done that before) play for a short time.
That said, I did figure that the demon cat was Nekomew's mother, but may I ask what happens in the Extra Mode cutscenes to confirm this? Or to expand on the story at all? I'm greatly interested.
