I think that this one actually turned out quite well! Further experimentation on this Tracktion render includes using SuperRiffGuitar for the rhythm guitar part (which
deslacoda told me about yesterday, though I'd discovered it independently just two days before!) - usefully it can simulate palm mutes by changing the velocity of the notes, which makes the rhythm part a lot less ear-shattering. I've changed the voice channel to a rock organ, and after realizing I had no harpsichord VST anywhere, used an imitation NES one to stand in.
The GP5 is in the ZIP above, as usual I'm not totally sure if all the fingering is as good as it could be, but some of the solos are quite fun to attempt.
And I had to break my normal "guitars" tab icon for this one... I just like
acidic's cover artwork for it too much!

Two fairly major obstacles :) People tend to say that my songs are... challengingly high (as I do put them up in the power metal range, though the computer obviously isn't bothered by this) though I haven't ever launched an appeal myself to find a singer. If I get the inclination to actually organize it, who knows, it might always work out.

It's interesting to me that you found this version of it, because it's something I put together from a MIDI render of the original song ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2506402 ) and I thought people would think it sounded more thrown together than the "real" submission of it. But if people enjoy this in its own right as well, perhaps it's time to practice doing these renders of my songs more!
