A slight update and some rambling
6 months ago
Hi everyone, I want to give a quick update on my end.^^
My spring allergies have still been hitting me but I have been able to turn it around, it is just even allergy medicine hasn't helped and my energy just kept getting sapped and the past few days I was struggling to stay awake a good chunk of the time. But thankfully I am bouncing back it is just this happens every spring and it practically kills me every time.
Now I have a bit of a tale on my end, along with the Abrams I also was able to find a Panther tank kit to help add more lore and stuff plus it has been helping me get back into things. The Panther kit had to be imported which isn't a big deal, but I forgot that with scale 1/35 kits sometimes there are metal parts like nuts, screws, etched brass, etc. and so I knew that customs would inspect the box but I wasn't worried. *Sighs* Now for some reason this thing bounced around in the mail for like 5 days, which alone is insane, but then the 24th rolls around and the tank arrives... and the box that this kit was shipped in was smashed. Now I do expect scuffarks and things like that but that is not at all what happend, the only side that didn't suffer any major damage was the side that had the shipping label, all other sides looked like it was beaten by a hammer with some pretty bad gouges, heck there was even a hole I can fit two of my fingers through and one of the flaps was partialy torn with the whole box partial broken down due to the sheer amount of damage done to it.
Thankfully the kit didn't suffer any damage but it doesn't change the fact that the box it was shipped in was deliberately damaged by customs. I even took pics just in case the kit was damaged. I understand if the detector goes off you have to inspect the box, but for crying out loud do not beat the package up, what if it was something really fragile or forbid what if it was an heirloom or something personal. Part of me wanted to make my voice known but it wouldn't have done any good, especially since I would be taking it out on customer service who wouldn't deserve it and like I said the kit was fine and no parts were missing.
But let's say it was worse case scenario, needless to say you don't beat the suspected package, you carefully open it up and have someone who is properly trained to deal with it. Now if the damage was done after my package was inspected then that is vandalism and whoever did it should be fired. If it is the latter then they weren't having a bad day, they probably got mad because they got excited about a promotion and when it was realized it was just a model kit they deliberate began to take whacks at it.
I don't know the full situation, but normally if I get a package that is imported I never see this and if the package has been inspected at times you really can't tell because of how professional they usually are. I'll have the tank done and ready pretty soon though^^
In other news I decided to give the new Gundam game a try, it is called SD Gundam G Generation Eternal and after playing for eight maybe nine hours I really am enjoying it and the drops I got(because it is a gotcha game) have been the best I ever seen. Heck on my free multi I got Sazabi and Char from Char's Counter Attack, I then got Nu Gundam, the Striker Custom and Gundam Aerial which are ultra rares and a good amount of ssr and sr's... and this is after one free multi and four with free gems.
The cool thing is that is a mobile version of the previous SD Gundam games, so if you have played SD Gundam G Generation Wars or Crossrays or any of them you already have a good idea of how this game works as you level up pilots and mobile suits and you can upgrade existing units or develop them into more advanced stuff. Plus you have access to mobile armors to help give some flexibility.
The ship you choose doesn't really take part in the fighting and if you choose a ship and suits from the same series you get a bonus to stats(as far as I understand it) so the game on some level does want you to form a semi-uniformed force but it isn't a deal breaker. This is weird given you can field basically field whoever you want in whatever you want without such things in the other games and the ship did play a vital part in being an active support force rather then act as a pure support ability. Plus progression is a bit more limiting this time around, you start off in the original timeline during the One Year War(what else is new) then after you beat it you progress to the next as indicated by the stage tracker. Right now am trying to get through Zeta Gundam so I can get to Gundam Wing and acess to Wing Zero. Plus with Zeta Gundam unlocked I can also mess around in the Gundam Seed line and I did get my hands on Duel Gundam from the development stuff.
First impression-wise the game is not bad, it is amazing and if you want you can set up autobattle but the ai does have a tendancy to be dumb here and there. And given it is a jrpg style game you will have to grind to upgrade and expand on your stuff but given I am use to it from FGO it isn't an issue and the cutscenes are done amazingly well when combat does happen.
The best part is if you do like it you don't have to make a Bandai account you can link it with Steam, Xbox, PSN or heck even your Facebook page to back it up. Now this is a massive game at over 10GB and that is with all the data from the games internal download after launching it and it is a fairly demanding game.
I am not advertising the game, just happy to have found a pretty good Gundam game and it is on mobile no less.^^;
I hope everyone has a good day or night, I just wanted to give an update a ramble a bit^^ Have a good one *hugs*
